For the big March Madness tournament DHS students and staff answered a poll on what team would take first place. The team that got the least votes was Texas. The teams that tied with the most votes were K-State and Alabama. We will just have to wait for April 3rd to see which team takes the championship title.

High School Scholar Bowl Team Makes Top 8

De Kalb's High School Scholar Bowl team competed in their final regular season meet on Thursday, March 21, at home, winning all three rounds and advancing to Top 8 tournament play on Wednesday, March 29, at Nodaway-Holt.

Senior Brody Knorr, a second-year Scholar Bowl team member noted that this season has gone better for the team than last year. "We went 10-5, and we made it to the Top 8 Tournament this year, which we didn't last year."

After the Top 8 Tournament, the Scholar Bowl team will go on to Districts in April.
