Player Chris Weinmann says that, “This is my first year back since middle school. My goal for this season is hopefully not to lose every race and try my hardest.”

Coach Reagan says that, “This is my 7th year as the track coach here. We have 9 girls & 5 boys on the team. As always, our goal is for our athletes to find ways to improve and grow within their respective events, and then to be competitive. We are working hard every day in practice to help prepare us for competition.”

We wish all of our track athletes good luck with this year’s track season.

Baseball Plays First Game Of The Season

BY: ANNA SAMPSON

De Kalb took on St. Joe Christian in last night's game, the first of the season after weather cancellations. They played a single-header. Even though the Tigers did not win, they still walked off the field with their heads high.

Sophomore Riley Piles has played baseball for as long as he can remember. Riley's goal for the season is to have fun with friends and bond with the team. Riley played 1st base for the first game. He says “the game went bad but everyone still tried.”

De Kalb's next game is Monday, March 27, at North Nodaway. Come out and support our boys' baseball team. They have put a lot of time into practice on and off season. Go Tigers!
