FFA GETS COMPETITIVE

From March 3rd through April 5th, FFA teams will be competing in annual competitions.

The first competition date was on March 3rd at Brunswick, and the most recent competition date was this past Monday, March 20, in Savannah. All teams both days.

The first team to compete was the Entomology team, consisting of Freshmen Grace Downing, Rylie Burdette, and Ceci Sherlock, and they got fifth place. "I’m going to take my knowledge that I got from this past competition and use it for the next competition,” said Freshman Rylie Burdette.
The second team to compete was the Meats team, consisting of Sophomores Brooklyn Frakes, Tori Hawk, Samara Martin, and Alexis Nell. “We had to look at different meats and know what cuts they were, and we also had to rate different meats from best to worst. This was a good experience for me because I had to engage with other people and work on social skills,” said sophomore Samara Martin.
Their next competition will be Monday, March 27, at North Nodaway The teams competing will be the Floriculture, Dairy, Entomology, and FFA Knowledge Teams.
