Composition: Wales Privacy Notice Your trust is very important to us. This means the BBC is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such personal data. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal data about you during and after your relationship with us, in accordance with data protection law. Why are we doing this and how can you participate? BBC National Orchestra of Wales is passionate about supporting and showcasing the work and talent of Composers across Wales. Composition: Wales offers the opportunity to a selection of composers to have their music workshopped, performed and recorded by BBC NOW at BBC Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff Bay. These composers will receive expert feedback from professional musicians, as well as mentoring by world class composers and conductors! Composers can send in two (2) compositions for consideration. Simply fill out an application form giving us some information about your composition(s), with a pdf and midi realisation audio file of the compositions themselves. The BBC will collect the personal data via an online platform used by the BBC. When you contribute to the BBC, we may use your contribution in our programmes or content, but we cannot promise to use everything that we receive. If we broadcast your contribution, this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and your contribution may be used again in a future broadcast. It may also include use on the BBC’s social media channels. What personal data will the BBC collect and how will we use it? The BBC will collect and process the personal data for the purposes of running the competition and to get in touch with shortlisted entrants. We process gender, racial or ethnic origin, and health information for diversity monitoring purposes. Personal data: You must be 18 years or older to participate in Composition: Wales.
