Program Overview The Administration of Justice Associate in Science for Transfer Degree (AJ AST) prepares you for specialized careers in criminal justice, corrections, forensic science, critical incident response, emergency management, security and loss prevention, law enforcement, human relations, procedural reporting, and homeland security. Automotive Collision Repair Program Overview Earn a great living in the field of automotive collision repair, refinishing, and detailing. The Automotive Collision Repair Program prepares you for employment as a collision repair technician; frame and structural alignment technician; or automotive refinisher. You will learn both computerized and handwritten damage appraisal. Automotive refinishing classes give you the latest environmentally friendly materials for the trade. Detail training involves both interior and exterior care with an emphasis on the latest technologies and materials. MIG welding in various positions will prepare you to take the ICAR certification test. Instructors guide hands-on practice in all areas of automotive collision repair under simulated on-the-job conditions. The program offers an Associate in Science degree and several certificate options and is ICAR/NATEF/IDA certified. 12

Automotive Technology

Program Overview Earn a great living as an Automotive Technician. Cypress College provides state-of-the art, hands-on automotive diagnosis and repair education and training. The general automotive and T-TEN programs are NATEF-certified. The general program includes pathways for employment at new vehicle dealers and independent repair facilities. You can find Subaru technician and electric/hybrid vehicle technician pathways, too. The T-TEN program is a cohort program with Toyota, with specific coursework and paid internship time at a Toyota or Lexus dealer. 14

Automotive Technology T-TEN

Program Overview The Toyota T-TEN program at Cypress College is a cooperative two-year college level training program. The program is designed to enhance the technical and professional competency of the incoming Toyota and Lexus dealership technician. This program includes classroom and laboratory sessions on up-to-date Toyota and Lexus vehicles and components as well as work experience at a Toyota and Lexus dealership. Specialized subjects covered in the classroom and laboratory at the college are followed by work experience in the dealership. Cypress College starts a Toyota T-TEN class at the beginning of every summer session. 16

Program Overview The Cypress College School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management on the Anaheim Campus offers an ideal setting for students to engage in a hands-on education experience. You’ll study baking and pastry arts fundamentals through a learn-by-doing approach. Culinary Arts Program Overview The Culinary Arts program provides students with fundamentals in the methods of food safety, handling, cooking, and culinary management. Coursework will expose you to various styles of cuisines and proper use of culinary applications and equipment. You will receive working knowledge that will fast-track your culinary management potential. Our culinary program is not just a cooking school; we are an accredited Hospitality Management Program, offering certificates and associate degrees in Culinary Arts, with direct opportunities for transfer to Cal Poly Pomona and CSU Long Beach. You will receive a hands-on, stateofthe-art learning environment designed to prepare students to become leaders in the hospitality and culinary industry. Drone (UAV/UAS) Program Overview Cypress College was the first California community college to offer the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drone) Associate in Science Degree. Unmanned Aircraft Systems offer new business and career opportunities for remote pilots. You will learn about drone operations, the emerging unmanned field, innovative developments, and effective use of the unmanned system on land, in the air, and in space. Courses examine such challenges as communications, education, and training; propulsion and power; teaming; and FAA regulations. Program Overview The Energy and Sustainable Technology program prepares students for employment in the emerging industry of sustainable energy technologies. You’ll get practical skills to develop career paths in geothermal, wind, solar, and sustainable energy. Teachers give you practice in all areas of energy technology maintenance and repair in on-the-job conditions. Flight Attendant Program Overview Cypress College has been successfully training flight attendants since 1967. Students learn important tips from industry professionals on how to advance their careers, as they learn about airline terminology and operations, passenger service and safety, Federal Aviation Regulations, cultural tourism, travel resources, security, international documentation, first aid, CPR/AED, and emergency procedures. Program Overview The Homeland Transportation Security Certificate offers the theory and application of procedures in homeland protection, transportation security, law enforcement, incident management systems, and disaster preparedness. Homeland Security employees secure our borders, airports, seaports, and waterways. They research and develop the latest security technologies, respond to natural disasters or terrorist assaults, analyze intelligence reports, and much more. In the program, you will learn the basic principles of responding to terrorist activity and managing transportation security — including airports, rail transportation and deep port security, and preparing for natural disasters. 30

Pilot Program Overview Cypress College has been successfully training pilots since 1967. We have paved the way in using leading-edge technology that enables you to practice with realistic simulations, reducing the costs associated with pilot training. Through ground-training and flight simulations, you can train to become a professional pilot or fly for fun. This program is challenging yet rewarding; it will push you to be the best that you can be. Our instructors are experienced professionals who either currently work or have worked extensively in the industry with many of the leading airlines.
