Aviation Certificates I-IV & Commercial Pilot GOALS AND OBJECTIVES The Commercial Pilot Program provides students with a career path for attaining the foundational knowledge, technical ground school training, and degree necessary for pursuing a career as a commercial pilot. Students completing the degree will develop an advanced understanding of the requirements necessary to work as a pilot in the aviation industry.

CERTIFICATES

■ Aviation I- Private Pilot (17-18 units) ■ Aviation II- Instrument Pilot (24-26 units) ■ Aviation III- Commercial Pilot (31-34 units) ■ Aviation IV- Advanced Pilot (32-38 units) To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of “C.” At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College.

DEGREE Commercial Pilot Associate in Science Degree PROGRAM CODE: 1S03814 To earn an Associate in Science Degree, students must complete: (1) all major course requirements with a minimum grade of “C”; (2) Cypress College Native General Education requirements; California State University General Education Breadth requirements (CSU GE Breadth) or IGETC General Education requirements; (3) the cultural diversity and reading requirements; (4) any elective courses to complete a minimum of 60 units; and, (5) have a minimum GPA of 2.0. At least 50% of all major course work must be completed at Cypress College. Combine the above Aviation Certificate IV Advanced Pilot with the General Education requirements outlined in the Cypress College Catalog.
