VIAGENS QUE TRANSFORMAM
O
exuberante verde da Casa das Canoas, no meio da carioca Floresta da Tijuca, foi o cenário que escolhemos para fotografar Letícia Spiller para a capa desta edição. A atriz estava com a agenda livre de gravações e conversou sem pressa com a jornalista Olívia Caires sobre o caminho que percorreu até aqui. São muitas andanças desde seu início na televisão, com apenas 15 anos, e muitas versões artísticas em uma única profissional. Atualmente Letícia interpreta a roqueira Lenita na novela “Sol Nascente”, vive a Dorotéia de Nelson Rodrigues nos teatros, dirige sua produtora, Paisagem Filmes, solta a voz no projeto de canto “Não Deveria se Chamar” e acaba de lançar seu site pessoal. Ainda assim, a atriz reserva tempo para ioga e ritos tibetanos, praticados todos os dias logo cedo para manter o equilíbrio. O Brasil também tem um quê do Tibete. A viagem nacional deste mês foi para o sul do mapa, na região serrana do Rio Grande do Sul. O jornalista Eduardo Vessoni descobriu um roteiro zen que foge dos fondues e taças de vinho e adentra o interior de cânions, parques isolados, templo budista e até mesmo o primeiro restaurante tibetano do país. É uma imersão dentro de si mesmo e de tradições que vêm lá da distante Cordilheira do Himalaia. Mas a região também reúne atrações para quem não busca espiritualidade. Caminhadas e cavalgadas por vales profundos revelam vistas cinematográficas ainda pouco conhecidas, além de trechos de Mata Atlântica, densas florestas de araucárias, voos panorâmicos de helicóptero e pousadas que mesclam luxo e rusticidade. Já nosso destino internacional deste mês foi um contraste à essa imensidão de natureza. Viajei para Abu Dhabi, nos Emirados Árabes Unidos, para conhecer a nova rota disponibilizada pela Avianca Brasil em codeshare com a Etihad Airways. A vizinha da famosa Dubai preserva muito mais da cultura árabe – mesmo ostentando projetos arquitetônicos surreais. Tem circuito de Fórmula 1 passando dentro do futurista hotel Yas Viceroy, Museu do Louvre inaugurando no final de 2016, Guggenheim no ano que vem, além de parque temático da Warner Bros em 2018. Mas o melhor dessa experiência é ver de perto uma cultura tão diferente, que nos ensina a não julgar nada com base em valores da nossa própria cultura. THE LUSH GREEN OF CASA DAS CANOAS, in the middle of Rio de Janeiro's Tijuca Forest, was the scenery in which we chose to shoot Letícia Spiller for the cover of this issue. The actress had free recordings schedule and talked unhurriedly to the journalist Olívia Caires about the path she took to where she is today. There have been many wanderings since she began on television, when she was only 15, and many artistic aspects in one professional. Letícia is currently playing the rocker Lenita in the Soap Opera "Sol Nascente" (Rising Sun), lives Nelson Rodrigues’ Dorotéia character in theater, directs Paisagem Filmes, her productions company, strains her vocal chords in the singing project “Não Deveria se Chamar” (It Should not be Called) and has just launched her personal website. Still, she reserves time for yoga and Tibetan rites, which she practices every morning, to maintain the balance. Brazil also has a hint of Tibet. The national trip, this month, was to the south of the map, in mountainous region of Rio Grande do Sul. The journalist Eduardo Vessoni found a Zen route that differs from fondues and wine glasses and enters into the canyons, isolated parks, Buddhist temple and even the first Tibetan restaurant in the country. It is an immersion within yourself and traditions that come from the distant mountain range of the Himalayas. However, the region also gathers attractions for those who do not seek spirituality. Hiking and horseback riding through deep valleys reveal cinematographic views still little known, besides Rain Forest patches, dense pine forests, scenic helicopter flights and inns that blend luxury and rusticity. As for this month’s international destination, it was a contrast to this immensity of nature. I traveled to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to get to know the new route provided by Avianca Brazil in codeshare with Etihad Airways. The city nearby the famous Dubai preserves much more of Arab culture - even though it displays surreal architectural projects. There is a Formula 1 circuit running through the futuristic Yas Viceroy Hotel, Louvre Museum opening in late 2016, Guggenheim next year, besides the Warner Bros. theme park in 2018. However, the best of this experience is seeing up close a culture so different that teaches us not to judge anything based on values of our own culture.
