A descriptive review of the first global cohort of Atlantic Fellows, capturing some of the fellowship's achievements during a period of unprecedented change. It covers the impact of COVID-19 on Atlantic Fellows, program staff, their communities and the Atlantic Institute team, and carries news of the Solidarity Grants awarded by the Atlantic Institute to Fellows' projects that aimed to minimize the impact of the pandemic on endangered or vulnerable communities. The Review reflects on a year in which the brutal killing of George Floyd, a Black man in Minneapolis, stirred Black Lives Matter protests across the globe. It also explores the legacy of Chuck Feeney as the founding donor is concluding its work. The Atlantic Foundation dissolved on Sept. 14 2020, marking the completion of Chuck Feeney’s mission of Giving While Living after 38 years and $8 billion in grants.
