duprees perform at mrs. new jersey, mrs. pennsylvania Competition The classic doo wop vocal group The Duprees, celebrating 50 years in the music business, will perform Saturday, feb. 25, at resorts Superstar Theater as part of the crowning of the Mrs. New Jersey and Mrs. Pennsylvania in the Official Preliminary Competition to the Mrs. America and Mrs. World Organizations. The pageant begins at 6pm and the Duprees concert takes place at 9pm. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased from Ticketmaster and at the resorts box Office. The Duprees set list is extensive, including “You belong to Me” and “My Own True Love.” The Duprees came together in Jersey City in the 1960s. “You belong to Me” was a major seller, which led to more smash hits such as “Gone with the Wind,” “Take Me as I Am” and “Have You Heard.” In 2006, The Duprees were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of fame.
