Greenspace Audit: Quality The greenspace audit provides evidence of the state of greenspaces Based on the greenspace quality assessment undertaken by Fife Council, the only assessed greenspace within Gallatown (Gallatown Park) is of poor quality. The greenspace audit outlines that the park has an overall appearance of neglect and poor maintenance, partly due to anti-social behaviour. The eastern entrance is obscured by planting, therefore visual surveillance is poor. It is recommended to prepare a masterplan for the park in consultation with the community, opening sight lines from adjacent roads, circular paths build, hardy flowering shrubs to make the space more attractive, seating areas and upgraded fencing around the football court. Relevance for Gallatown Improvements: • Provide other high quality greenspaces that are attractive and have a distinctive character • Provide safe links/ active travel routes to good quality greenspaces
