Fife Council Planning Guidance outlines that each home should be given provision to open

greenspaces (60m2 per domestic property) within 250m walkable distance.

The map outlines the properties within 250m access (green) and properties that are NOT within 250m access (yellow) to greenspace. It highlights that the properties in the southern part of Gallatown as well as to the north-west do not have sufficient greenspace provision.

Relevance for Gallatown Improvements:

• Additional access to greenspace is required for the entire southern part of Gallatown • Any future developments should provide adequate quality greenspace to provide greenspace access for existing and new residents • Provide high quality greenspaces • Create safe links and active travel routes to greenspaces
