Greenspaces Limited greenspaces can be found throughout the area Fife Council’s Greenspace Characterisation map illustrates that beside Gallatown Park the remaining greenspaces are residential amenity spaces which relate to the adjacent housing. Due to the limited greenspaces, the existing greenspaces should be improved: • Planting that increases biodiversity • Biodiversity/ Pollinator networks • Continuous functional planting, e.g. along streetscapes, at street corners • Diversity of functions within spaces, e.g. paths, furniture, play • Provide food growing/ orchard opportunities
