Update = This problem still continues to be monitored but calls for service regarding this issue have significantly reduced. Non Dwelling Burglaries. Update = This still remains an issue in this area please do everything possible to ensure that not only your home but any outbuildings/garages are locked and secure. Parking in Haxey/Westwoodside. Update = This is still an ongoing situation which is being monitored. People are still not thinking of other road users and what impact their parking will have especially on the elderly/disabled. NEW PRIORITY - : POACHING. Update = Several reports of poaching have been received from all the Isle of Axholme. Males have been seen with lurcher type dogs hare coursing or chasing deer. During December two male offenders have been reported for summons for such an offence and paperwork is being prepared to take these offender to court to answer for their crimes. Please do not hesitate to contact the police if you see such an offence taking place. Try to obtain as much detail as possible such as vehicle registration numbers and descriptions of offenders. Information At the beginning of December a new system called TrackMyCrime was introduced by Humberside Police. This scheme is to enhance the service the police gives to the general public when they unfortunately become victims of crime. When a person reports a crime now they will be asked to provide a current email address, once the crime report has been created they will be given the opportunity to register with this scheme. The benefits of this scheme is that the victim will be informed of the officer in the case and contact details for this person, they will be kept updated of the progress of the enquiry and be able to add property details as and when they discover it has been stolen. Humberside Police are asking the public to embrace this scheme so that the quality of service can be enhanced.
