Jon Harrell is the Chairman and CEO of Generations Bank and President and CEO of Harrell Bancshares, Inc. He is the fifth generation Harrell to lead the management team of Generations Bank. His banking career began with the Arkansas State Bank Department. He is a graduate of The Graduate School of Banking at LSU, and previously served a three-year term on the ABA Board of Directors and was the 2019-20 Chairman-Elect. He is also a cabinet member of the St. Mary’s Heritage Society and is active in the NWA Fellowship Church community where he serves as a community group coach.
CHAIRMAN-ELECT • Jim Cargill Jim Cargill is President and CEO of Arvest Bank in central Arkansas, overseeing Arvest’s retail, consumer, and commercial banking operations. He has helped develop Arvest’s marketing initiatives, including an extensive sales and service culture training program designed to take Arvest’s customer service to a higher level. Cargill has also worked to further Arvest’s ability to identify bank products and services that are of the greatest benefit to customers. Cargill is a member of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Fifty for the Future Board of Directors, UA- Little Rock Foundation Board of Directors, and the Little Rock Downtown Rotary Club.
VICE CHAIRMAN • Randy Scott Randy Scott is President and Chief Executive Officer of Farmers Bank and Trust, in Blytheville. He served as Chairman of the State Bank Board in 2019, where he continues to serve on the board. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees at Arkansas Northeastern College, a two year institution whose main campus is in Blytheville. Scott has also served on the Board of Directors of the Blytheville Baseball Boosters Club, on the Board of Directors of the Great River Medical Center, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Great River Economic Development, and President of Blytheville Unlimited.
TREASURER • Tom Grumbles Tom Grumbles is President and CEO of First Service Bank in Greenbrier. Grumbles, after graduation, started his banking career in Little Rock, and shortly after, began working in Dermott at what is now First Service Bank. In 1999, he helped move the charter to Greenbrier and helped grow to 11 locations in 10 towns in north and central Arkansas. He attended Hendrix College in Conway, where he majored in Business and Economics. He was a charter board member of Arkansas Bankers’ Bank and served part of his tenure as Chairman.
PAST CHAIRMAN • Rob Robinson Rob Robinson is the Market President of Simmons Bank in El Dorado and serves as a senior credit officer for the bank. Prior to joining Simmons Bank in 2004, he worked for Arvest Bank, Central Bank & Trust, and the Arkansas State Bank Department. Robinson takes an active role in his community, and is currently serving as Vice Chairman on the Medical Center of South Arkansas Board of Trustees, Vice President of the South Arkansas Community College Foundation Board; board member of the Arkansas Hospital Association; President of Arkansas Hospital Trustees Association; and is on the board of El Dorado Fifty for the Future.
