and other benefactors support the Extravaganza Challenge Scholarship Match Since 2004, the Bernard Family and the Ralph L. & Florence A. Bernard Foundation have annually shared their friendship and generosity with an Extravaganza Challenge Scholarship Match. This challenge originated with Mr. Ralph L. Bernard Sr. who passed away in 2009 at the age of 94. His children, Ralph Bernard Jr. ’62 and Mrs. Regina Dain, grandchildren Adam Bernard and Angie Craig, and the Foundation have continued this legacy of supporting Catholic education in the Akron area. The Bernard Family, with the support of generous Extravaganza guests, has raised $1,684,773 for student financial assistance over the past 18 years. This year, the Bernard Family has generously agreed to MATCH DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR ANY AMOUNT UP TO $75,000 donated to the Extravaganza Scholarship Challenge.
