Register and bid in a live auction To participate in live auctions, you have two registration options based on your preferred bidding method. If you plan to bid in person or via telephone, please inform us by email. If you prefer absentee or online bidding through the Apollo platform, please log into your account and complete the registration process on the auction page. We advise completing your registration a minimum of 4 hours prior to the commencement of any live auction. If you miss the registration deadline and wish to place bids, please reach out to our Customer Services for assistance (auction@apollogalleries.com). There are four ways you can bid in a live auction: -

In person: Participating in live auctions in person provides a unique and exciting experience. Pre-register by getting in touch with our Customer Services team (auction@apollogalleries.com). To obtain a bidding paddle, you'll need to bring your photo ID before the auction starts. When the lot you're interested in is introduced, it's your cue to start bidding. Whenever you wish to make a bid, just raise your paddle to signal the auctioneer. Absentee bidding: When you cannot personally attend an auction, you can submit an absentee bid, and the auctioneer will act on your behalf during the bidding process. An absentee bid is given priority over a bid of the same amount made in the auction room or via telephone. To place an absentee bid, log in to your account, locate the desired lot, click 'Place bid,' and input your maximum bid amount. Or contact our Customer Service team (auction@apollogalleries.com). An absentee bid establishes the maximum bid amount you are prepared to offer on a lot, and it will persistently bid on your behalf until that amount is surpassed. In the event that two or more bidders submit identical bids, the priority goes to the earliest received bid. If the current bid is lower than your set maximum, you have the option to modify your maximum bid amount. Apollo Art Auctions: Our online bidding platform for live auctions enables you to observe and make real-time bids from your desktop or mobile device, no matter where you are in the world. Simply log in to your account and complete the registration process on the auction page, then click 'Join auction' once the session commences to enter the virtual salesroom and participate in the bidding. Telephone bidding: If you opt for bidding by phone, we can establish direct communication with you from the auction floor and place bids on your behalf through the auctioneer. In the event we cannot reach you during the auction, it's advisable to also submit an 'emergency absentee bid.' To register for telephone bidding, please get in touch with our Customer Services team (auction@apollogalleries.com).
