MAYOR TAGLIARINI MESSAGE

I could not be more proud of my fellow Council Members, Town Manager and Department Managers. To steal an old expression, “Aberdeen is firing on all cylinders”. In 2023, we stayed committed to a Road Project that this administration started in the year 2010. This is the 14 consecutive years of repairing Aberdeen Roads. We have done so in a very fair way, including all sections of our Town. We appropriated over 4 million dollars in 2022 for roads improvements. We are very proud of our Recreation Director and staff for offering over 220 programs to all ages. Seniors have a variety of fitness programs, bus trips and weekly social events. Our youth Summer Camp Program is now a full day camp. They utilize the Middle School Gym, local certs on Tuesday. We also host a fantastic Independence Day Fireworks celebration. Let’s not forget our ever popular Aberdeen Day to be held Sept 23rd,2023.

On the business front, Aberdeen continues to be very business friendly. The Aberdeen Economic Business Council, an arm of the Town Council, continues to be the best advocate for new businesses to our Town.

Just announced, Sprouts Market will be joining LA Fitness and retailers on Rt 35. ProFysio expanded and stayed in Aberdeen. Alternate Ending Brewer chose Aberdeen to open another restaurant called Lita’s. Countless number of new businesses are now calling Aberdeen home. Thanks to all of you for making Aberdeen your home and creating a community that we are so proud of.
