MESSAGE FROM DEANA GUNN COUNCIL PRESIDENT

First, I want to congratulate all the recent school graduates— you’ve worked hard, and I hope you enjoy the summer! I wish you all success; explore the world and all it has to offer and don’t forget you’ll always be a Husky. Secondly, on August 1st, we will have our National Night Out at the Jeremiah Hourihan field at 201 Broad Street. It’s a unique opportunity to come out and meet our police force in a more casual and fun way, learn more about what they do and how they do it, and check out some equipment while enjoying some food and games and a night of community. The men and women of our force also look forward to spending time with our residents, big and small, so look for more details as we approach this national event celebration in Matawan! Thank you to everyone participating in our many wonderful events lately. There’s a ton happening on Main Street and beyond, and we appreciate every- one’s cooperation and participation, from our residents to our businesses and visits from neighboring towns.
