Makeva Armant-Muhammad A Queen that Serves
Makeva has held 8 titles since 2011 and has competed both nationally and internationally, winning her first international title, Royal International Miss Role Model Ms 2019. She currently holds the title of Mrs. Maryland United World, and she recently won the 2021 East Coast Perfect Miss Model Search Competition. She is passionate about using world languages to create access to global marketability for students in underserved communities, and she has used her position as a pageant queen to share this passion as her platform: Promoting Diversity Through the Study of World Languages and Cultures. A more recent version of her platform is called #GetImmersed which is named after her business, Immersed Global, LLC. With her various past and present titles, she has spent her service years hosting and participating in numerous community service events and being a spokesperson for her platforms. Through her initiatives, she’s reached over 1,000 individuals across Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Maryland by speaking in virtual classrooms, gardening groups, and youth environmental advocacy clubs, and more. She has been seen on billboards as the face of the 2018 Black Business Expo in Baton Rouge, LA and in fashion shows throughout Louisiana, Maryland and New York.
