Welcome to SE22 I had hoped that this year would have a better start than the end of last year but unfortunately it has not been the case. My father passed away in late January and just last month, my dear friend and colleague, Sarah Pylas also died. It is hard to find the words to describe how sad I am feeling. Sarah was first and foremost a friend (we met through the East Dulwich WI) but she came to work with me in September 2013. As well as sorting out my websites, Sarah went on to write the wonderful Around Dulwich column. Some of you may know that we took part in Ashley Banjo’s Secret Dance Crew with friends from the EDWI. It was a amazing if nerve-wracking time and Sarah was fantastic. As my tribute to Sarah I felt it would be fitting to re-run The Last Word interview which first appeared in December 2013 on page 32. I have also printed some of the lovely photos Sarah submitted to go with her column over the years. I know that many people will miss Sarah; her husband Pan and son Zachy, her family and the very many friends in the area and around the World. RIP. We do have the Dulwich Festival to look forward to this month. Check out the Artists’ Open House preview on pages 22 & 23. Until next time.
