Based on real-time data, house and unit price growth continued in September after reaching a new peak in July. Year-on-year, we’re now recording the strongest growth since mid last year. Australian house prices increased by 6.1 per cent over the past 12 months.

The supply/demand imbalance between people wanting to buy and the number of properties for sale will ensure that price growth continues.

Over the past two months, I have personally experienced this myself.

During August/September, 5 from 5 of our Auctions sold with 3 of 5 selling on the day, with the other 2 properties selling prior to. Over the 3 Auctions, we had an average of 11 registered bidders per auction, compared to the state average of 3 registered bidders per auction.

It is great to see the demand for properties in our beautiful area with the success of Spring selling season well and truly underway!
