MIN IS T E R & W IF E STIR-UP CAMPUS By Merrit Peterson Staff Writer For most of last week, religious radicals took to preaching outside Corbett Student Union. Crowds of students gathered around the minister and his wife, Jed and Cindy Smock, to interact with them over their offensive radical statements about immodesty, women’s inferiority to man, homosexuality, premarital sex and student’s “party animal lifestyles.”

They held signs reading, “fear God,” and “you’re all going to hell,” to draw students to the scene. The Smocks are currently on a four month mission visiting college campuses. They identify as Christian-Protestant-Pentecostal. Agriculture business student Breanna Chavez, 18, sat crossed legged on the scene of the crowd holding a sign stating, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged!” She said she was walking by and the speakers “called me a whore earlier. It got really personal.” Chavez set up camp and sat there with
