November 2025: On The Boulevard

On The Boulevard

NOVEMBER 2025

As we move into the fall season, I’d like to reflect on the many projects and initiatives that have kept our team busy over the summer months at The Marbella. Our staff has worked diligently to enhance the level of service we provide to owners and residents. While we take pride in our work, there’s always room for improvement—and many of our best ideas come from you.

A reminder that there’s a suggestion box in the mail room for residents to share feedback. Owners are also welcome to call, email, or speak directly with anyone in the front office or at the front desk. All suggestions receive follow-up attention and play a vital role in shaping the continuous improvement of our community.

Recent enhancements include extended front office hours (now open until 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday) and a digital display screen in the mail room, soon to be re-mounted for a cleaner look. Owner input has also inspired cultural initiatives like our quarterly Staff Spotlight program—with Chef Victor as the inaugural honoree—and a new process to celebrate each team member’s work anniversary.

The Maintenance Team, led by Rob, has made tremendous progress this summer. The fire panel and fire pump overhauls and the hydraulic/kitchen elevator modernization are expected to be completed by yearend. Work on the south elevator modernization will begin this winter, with completion anticipated in fall 2026. Significant repairs were also made to the HVAC systems and pool equipment room, ensuring continued comfort and reliability of these critical systems.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring the installation of a whole-building generator and continuing collaboration with the Interior Design Committee on the Lobby Update Project. A feasibility study has been approved to evaluate a natural gas generator capable of powering the entire building. Meanwhile, the Interior Design Committee is preparing for its upcoming meeting to finalize selections for furniture, fixtures, and décor. The meeting, held in the Barcelona Room, will be properly noticed and open to all residents—feedback is encouraged. Before any work begins, owners will receive detailed information, including costs, financing options, and a formal vote to approve or disapprove. Elsewhere among our team, Darci, our Lifestyle

Coordinator, has curated a full calendar of events through year’s end—ranging from fitness and wellness programs to entertainment and educational gatherings. Collaboration among Darci, Chef Victor, Eda, and Joel continues to elevate our dining experience, with a monthly buffet and a refreshed menu. Kudos to Chef Victor and the Kitchen Team, as well as Eda, Joel, and the Dining Team, for their hard work. Michelle continues to oversee the Front Desk and Housekeeping Teams while assisting all departments with their various projects. Meanwhile, Jackie and The Cove Team have managed higher-than-expected occupancy levels, and Dave has been instrumental in refining financial reporting and preparing the draft 2026 budget.

Several of our resident Committees—including Finance, Food & Beverage, Media & IT, Social, and Buildings & Grounds—have remained active through the summer. Their dedication and thoughtful input are key to maintaining The Marbella as the beautiful and well-run community we all take pride in.

It is with deep sadness that I acknowledge the passing of two valued members of our Marbella family: Vania Toussaint (Front Desk Agent since 2015) and Dale Kopko (Maintenance Supervisor, 2016–2024). Vania will be remembered for her radiant smile and warmth; Dale for his dedication and leadership. Their contributions and spirit will remain a lasting part of The Marbella community.

In summary, The Marbella continues to move forward with renewed energy and purpose. Whether through operational improvements, community events, or committee collaboration, our shared goal remains to provide an exceptional living experience for every resident. I encourage each of you to stay engaged, share your ideas, and take part in the many opportunities that make this community such a wonderful place to live. Together, we continue to make The Marbella at Pelican Bay not just a residence, but a true home.

Warm regards,

Making Reservations For A Guest Suite

It’s the perfect time for your family to visit you in sunny Florida! The guest suites have recently been updated, and each room has queen-sized beds that comfortably sleep four people. The rate to stay in a Marbella guest suite is less expensive than a local hotel this time of the year. Nightly rates are $135 plus tax (November 1-April 30) and $95 plus tax (May 1-October 31). Guests must register and pick up keys at The Marbella front desk after 3:00 PM. A registration form will be available at check-in. The guest’s name, address, telephone number, estimated arrival time, and vehicle information will be requested. We request that guests check out by 11:00 AM so the room can be ready for the next guest. Your guests may keep their luggage at the front desk/concierge area between check-out and actual departure. If the guest suites are already booked for the time of your request, we would be happy to extend The Marbella resident discount for a room at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Naples Please make all reservations with Michelle or the Front Desk.
