Celebrate the beauty of summer landscaping at The Marbella—whether youʻre enjoying a stroll outdoors or taking in the view from your residence!
We are in the process of spring cleaning! Over the years, we have accumulated several bikes, in the garage area and are not identified. If you have a bike stored in the garage, please label it. All unidentified bikes will be donated on August 12, 2025.

Hurricane Preparedness –Jill & Arlene
Don’t let the slow start to hurricane season lull you into a false sense of security. Southwest Florida will face another major hurricane—it’s not a matter of if, but when and where. Now is the time to ensure you’re fully prepared.
Having a plan in place makes all the difference when a storm is approaching. Start by assembling a go-bag with essential supplies, updating medical records, and stocking up on non-perishable food and water. Ensure your emergency supplies—such as flashlights, batteries, and weather radios—are in working order and easily accessible. If evacuation becomes necessary, you’ll want to move quickly and safely.
Now is the time to:
• Identify potential evacuation destinations such as Ft. Lauderdale, Sebring, Miami, or the Orlando area.
• Make a list of hotels you could book if needed.
• Research airlines servicing nearby airports.
• Confirm your evacuation plans with friends or family.
• Map out your driving route in advance.
Ensure your vehicle is road-ready with an oil change, tire check, and any needed repairs. Double-check that your car and homeowners’ insurance policies are up to date, and take photos of your property and belongings for documentation purposes. Contact your insurance provider before a storm is named— once a storm is on the radar, it’s often too late to make changes.
Most importantly, stay weather-aware. To avoid mass evacuations and airport closures, you’ll need to act at least five days ahead of a potential landfall. Give yourself ample time to leave safely and avoid last-minute chaos. Preparedness is peace of mind. Take steps now to stay safe later.

Get Your Game On
–Darci Kopp
Recently, we added two more game nights to our Wednesday lineup. The first Wednesday is Game Day, featuring games with cards or dice, led by Dianne (Danny) Thornton. The second Wednesday is bocce, led by Connie Berger in the winter and Mike Nywening in the summer. The third Wednesday is poker, led by Mel Poplock, and the last Wednesday is Trivia Night, led by Ronnie Poplock. Kae is busy assisting in various ways. So each Wednesday, there is something fun to do!
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for volunteering their time to the community. I can’t think of a more fun way to spend a Wednesday evening—come on down and see what the buzz is all about!
