Noir is a collaboration between London-based Chani Horowitz and Yitty Levenson, who moved from Manchester to Israel. The two met in seminary and reconnected at a hotel in Europe, where they decided it was time to launch their brand.
Chani grew up in the fashion industry, inspired by her mother’s store and touring fashion houses, while Yitty explored design and styling, eager for a creative venture. They started meeting suppliers and sketching designs for a small collection.
“We quickly realized that we fit together like a puzzle. Two people from different backgrounds and stages in life, yet we molded ourselves into Noir,” Chani reflects.
The brand’s personality features a strong focus on knitwear with a touch of European sophistication. “Our casual pieces have a funky coolness to them, with a bit of a twist,” Chani explains.
As for the name "Noir," the two say it perfectly encapsulates the brand. “Noir depicts sophistication in its simplicity. That's who we are,” adds Yitti.
Their current favorite piece? A burgundy plum set with a high turtleneck and satin placket featuring buttons all the way up.“Whoever puts it on looks fantastic in it.”
Since launching, Chani and Yitty have experienced a number of “pinch me moments,” like spotting their dresses at weddings or witnessing a surging demand for a particular style.
The most significant so far— when Vogue magazine expressed interest in their line“Being featured in their trending section was a huge step for us,” Yitty recalls.
In addition to being part of The Address brand family, Noir boasts a robust website and social following @noir._noir and a storefront on Yirmiyahu Street in Jerusalem.
“It’s nice to be part of a bigger network,” Yitty says. “We feel very supported, all across the world.”
In a world dominated by fast fashion, Meira Hirsch’s collection celebrates timeless classics. Golden Age Vintage, founded in 2014, emerged from a passion for discovering unique pieces that tell a story.
“I started hunting for vintage finds for myself because, ten years ago, it was still challenging to find stylish modest clothing,” the founder shares. Her treasure hunts took her to estate sales, swap meets, flea markets, and vintage shops, which turned into her first collection
“I held an opening event, and it went really well, so I kept on vintage hunting for more finds ”
Meira creates outfits that balance vintage charm with today’s trends and styles. “You don’t have to dress head-to-toe in vintage Instead, let a fabulous jacket be the main character of your outfit.”
Golden Age Vintage is about modernizing vintage pieces to fit today’s style “I see vintage as a classic accent that can be incorporated into a contemporary wardrobe,” she explains. “For instance, if it’s an '80s piece with big shoulders, I’ll pair it with a sleek shoe ”
To Meira, shopping for vintage is all about finding the gems She curates pieces that are not only beautiful and conservative, but also ready to wear “Designer vintage is so much more accessible and affordable than buying new from brands like Gucci or Dior, where you’d need to spend a couple of grand Plus, the quality is often so much better ”
Among her go-to pieces, she highlights a good vintage trench coat and a stylish pair of sunglasses. “That’s my everyday look,” she shares.
Today, Golden Age Vintage has their own space within THE ADDRESS, and the collection is refreshed seasonally. “It’s really fun to showcase my pieces there and to make vintage fashion more accessible to everyone ”
