Faculty SPOTLIGHT ●

Ms. Marisa began this year teaching Regular and Honors Chemistry, Integrated Science, and Environmental. She grew up right outside Ithaca, New York, and went to college in the area to receive her Bachelors of Science and Chemistry After receiving her Bachelor’s, she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she attended Colorado State University and was in a PHD program for Chemistry but preferred to teach so she just got her masters instead.

Faculty SPOTLIGHT ● ● ●

When she received her Masters she decided it was time for a change and she moved again to Belleville, Illinois to teach at Althoff Catholic High. Althoff stuck out to her because she attended Catholic school for pre-k through 8th grade and appreciated the community driven atmosphere of Catholic Schools. Although she did not go to a Catholic high school, she was in the US Pony club during that time. She loved the sportsmanship and giving back throughout the club. She is just excited to be able to be a part of our family and learn who we are as people, and who we are as a family and our story as Althoff Catholic.
