Casi culmina un mes en el que recordamos a la mujer y su espacio dentro de la sociedad Por esto, presentamos a la abogada Jany Martínez-Ward y la Dra Ana Pesaturo a nuestros lectores. En este número, asimismo, se analizan acontecimientos candentes, como el futuro de la Unión Europea y un sorprendente descubrimiento que pone en tela de juicio lo que los científicos han creído en más de un siglo sobre el origen de la vida. Y CONOCE LUGARES TAN FASCINANTES COMO

MAR MUERTO Se llama Mar Muerto porque su salinidad impide que exista forma de vida alguna en este lago. Por otra parte, esa misma sal proporciona un enorme alivio a los numerosos visitantes que sufren alguna dolencia y que vienen aquí regularmente a beneficiarse de sus propiedades curativas. Todo esto y mucho más hacen del Mar Muerto un lugar fascinante, diferente y peculiar. También podría llamarse a este lago “el balneario terapéutico más bajo del mundo”. En su sección sur se producen sales marinas con fines industriales, y el norte se dedica al turismo y al cuidado de la salud. La composición de sales y minerales del agua es lo que le otorga propiedades únicas y beneficiosas para el organismo. Su lecho también contiene depósitos de lodo negro fácil de extender por el cuerpo que proporciona a la piel minerales nutritivos. Por si todo esto fuera poco, el bromuro del aire es también beneficioso para el cuerpo, de manera que el Mar Muerto ofrece buena salud y curación a turistas de todo el mundo. Sin duda es un tesoro nacional de incalculable valor. La costa occidental (dentro de las fronteras de Israel) dispone de playas organizadas y de zonas de baño que permiten acceder cómodamente al agua. Junto a dos de estas playas terapéuticas (Neve Zohar y Ein Bokek) se han creado grandes centros capaces de satisfacer al turista más exigente. Encontrará decenas de hoteles, hospederías y casas de huéspedes, restaurantes y centros comerciales, así como sorprendentes empresas turísticas que ofrecen una gran variedad de actividades emocionantes (recorridos en jeep y en bicicleta, paseos en camello, hospitalidad beduina, rappel y mucho más), junto a actividades artísticas y culturales (galerías y estudios de artistas), y, por supuesto su agricultura única, adaptada al clima local.

EL FUTURIO DE EUROPA Y LAS PROFECIAS BIBILICAS Uncertainty in the European Union Esta primavera llega en un momento de incertidumbre para Europa. Tras la ratificación del Parlamento británico del resultado del referendo del pasado ano sobre la permanencia en la Unión Europea se cierne la amenaza ahora de que Francia pudiera abandonar dicha organización. También se cierne la amenaza de que Grecia pudiera salir del grupo de países que comparten el euro como moneda.

This spring comes at a time of uncertainty for Europe. Following the ratification by the British Parliament of the result of last year’s referendum about permanence in the European Union, the threat looms now that France could leave such organization. Also, the threat looms that Greece could leave the group of countries that share the euro as currency.

Tales temores fundados se deben a la popularidad de la candidata por el Frente Nacional-partido que propugna la salida de la Unión Europea- ante las próximas elecciones y la división de la clase política francesa. Ninguno de los partidos tradicionales parece entusiasmar al electorado de esa nación.

Such founded fears are due to the popularity of the candidate by the National Front, the party that advocates the departure of the Union Europe, before the upcoming elections and the French political class division. None of the traditional parties seem to enthuse the electorate of that nation.

¿Que hace a Francia tan importante para la preservación de la Unión? Se trata de una de las naciones fundadoras de la Unión Europea, organización que este año arriba a su sesenta aniversario. Resulta difícil imaginar que los veintiséis países restantes pudieran mantener la Unión sin Francia. Si bien se ha tratado de veintisiete estados europeos, en las grandes decisiones tomadas el peso del eje franco-alemán ha sido decisivo. Una salida de Francia de esta organización implicaría un golpe al euro, primeramente y en segundo pondría al resto de los pequeños estados que la componen como Polonia, la Republica Checa, Italia y Austria bajo la hegemonía alemana. ¿Podría mantenerse la Unión Europea así? No lo sabemos, pero resulta difícil de imaginar. ¿Qué trascendencia tendría este acontecimiento a la luz de la perspectiva bíblica? El libro del Apocalipsis señala que el final de los tiempos estará marcado por el ascenso de un imperio simbolizado por una bestia de siete cabezas y diez cuernos que habría de perseguir a la Iglesia poco antes del regreso de Nuestro Señor. Estas cabezas correspondían a siete reyes que pueden ser identificados por Nabucodonosor, Antíoco Epifanes y Alejandro Magno. Ciro el Grande, Cesar Augusto, Domiciano, y el Anticristo. Todos tuvieron en común querer establecer un reino universal basado en la autoridad secular, humana. Una de estas cabezas con diez cuernos simboliza al Imperio Romano y sus diez cuernos las naciones que sobre sus ruinas se levantaron.

What makes France so important for the preservation of the Union? It is one of the founding nations of the European Union, an organization that this year reaches its sixtieth anniversary. It is difficult to imagine that the twenty-six remaining countries could maintain the Union without France. Yes, there has been twenty-seven European States, but in the major decisions taken, the weight of the Franco-German axis has been decisive. An exit of France from this organization would imply a blow to the euro first; and secondly, it would put the rest of the small States that compose it like Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Austria under German hegemony. Could the European Union maintain itself like this? We don’t know, but it is difficult to imagine. What implication would this event have to the light of the Biblical perspective? The book of Revelation points out that the end of times will be marked by the rise of an empire symbolized by a beast with seven heads and ten horns that would persecute the Church shortly before the return of our Lord. These heads corresponded to seven kings that can be identified as Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus Epiphanes, Alexander the Great, Cyrus the Great, Caesar Augustus, Domitian, and the Antichrist. All had in common their wanting to establish a universal kingdom based on secular human authority. One of these heads with ten horns symbolizes the Roman Empire, and its ten horns are the nations that rose from its ruins.

Mucho se ha especulado sobre estos diez cuernos y desde la constitución de lo que sería la Comunidad Económica Europea en 1957 muchos interpretes bíblicos vieron en esta organización el cumplimiento de esta profecía de los diez cuernos. Las actuales divisiones en el seno de esta organización han hecho pensar a algunos estudiosos de las profecías del fin de los tiempos que esta bestia quizás simbolice a una coalición de naciones islámicas (de la que ISIS seria solo el comienzo) o quizás la unión de algunas naciones islámicas como Turquía e Irán con Rusia. Sin embargo, nada de lo que se ha pensado hasta ahora sobre el significado de una de las cabezas de esta “bestia” simbólica habría de cambiar con la salida del Reino Unido. De hecho, hasta ahora el Reino Unido ha sido un freno para las aspiraciones de convertir a la Unión Europea en los Estados Unidos de Europa, o sea, en una nación federal, donde así como se elige por el pueblo a los miembros del Parlamento Europeo también se elija directamente al presidente de su poder ejecutivo. Asimismo, para dotarla de sus propias fuerzas armadas, al margen de la OTAN. De aquí a constituir a lo que quizás sería el mayor estado surgido en suelo europeo después del final del Imperio Romano no hay más que un paso. En abril podremos saber cuál será el derrotero que esta organización tendrá o reconstituirse tras la retirada de Gran Bretaña o añadir la salida de Francia, con la interrogante de si las veintiséis naciones restantes que llegaron a ella, una vez constituida la Comunidad Económica Europea serían capaces de preservar el legado de las naciones fundadoras que ahora aspiran a abandonarla.

Much has been speculated about these ten horns, and since the constitution of what would become the European Economic Community in 1957, many biblical interpreters saw in this organization the fulfillment of this prophecy of the ten horns. The current divisions in the bosom of this organization have made some scholars of the end–times prophecies think that this Beast might symbolize a coalition of Islamic nations (of which ISIS would be just the beginning) or perhaps the union of some Islamic nations like Turkey and Iran with Russia. However, nothing of what has been thought up to now about the meaning of one of the heads of this symbolic “beast” would change with the departure of the United Kingdom. In fact, so far the United Kingdom has been a brake on the aspirations of converting the European Union into the United States of Europe; that is, in a federal nation, where the people also choose the members of the European Parliament, the President of its executive branch is elected directly too. Also, it gives its own forces armed, aside from NATO. Hence, to constitute what perhaps might be the greatest state emerged on European soil after the end of the Roman Empire, there is no more than just a step. In April, we will know what will be the course that this organization will have or reconstitute after the withdrawal of Great Britain. Or add the departure of France, with the question of whether the remaining twenty-six nations that came to her, once constituted, the European Economic Community would be able to preserve the legacy of the founding nations that now aspire to abandon it.

Arraigados y Cimentados Cuando una persona es Arraigada y Cimentada en Amor, esa persona conocerá y será toda la plenitud de Dios. Arraigada como un Árbol. Cuando las raíces del árbol penetran la tierra, pueden venir desafíos diferentes pero el árbol permanecerá porque está arraigado. Cimentado como un edificio. Cuando una persona está en la fundación de Jesucristo, él está bajo en solido fundamento verdadero. Efesios 3:16-19 dice: “para que os dé, conforme a las riquezas de su gloria, el ser fortalecidos con poder en el hombre interior por su Espíritu; para que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en amor, seáis plenamente capaces de comprender, con todos los santos, cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura, y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede a todo conocimiento, para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios. Rooted and Grounded When a person is rooted and cemented on Love, that person will know and will be all the fullness of God. Rooted like a tree. When tree roots penetrate the soil, many challenges can come but the tree will remain because it is rooted. Grounded as a building. When a person is in the foundation of Jesus Christ, he is under a real, solid foundation. Challenges can also come to that person’s life, but since he is cemented upon the Rock of Christ, he will remain as the palm tree. And when a person is rooted and founded on Love, the power of Christ will rest on that person because God is Love. Ephesians 3:16-19 says: “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Shalom, Shalom

Este mes en el que se recuerda la contribución social de la mujer, Almavisión ha querido traer de vuelta a sus páginas a una profesional del derecho quien para nuestra alegría y la suya, ha dado recientemente a luz mellizas.

This month in which the social contribution of women is remembered, Almavision has wanted to bring back to it pages a law professional who recently, for our joy and hers, has given birth to twins.

Ser madre de Chloe y Kaylee -nos explica- “ha sido para mi una bendición, y poder balancear mi hogar y mi negocio ha sido el reto más importante que he tenido en mi vida. A la misma vez, es también el que más he disfrutado.

“Being the mother of Chloe and Kayle,” she explains to us, “has been a blessing for me, and being able to balance my home and my business has been the most important challenge that I’ve had in my life.

Ser madre no se limita a dar a luz y alimentar a nuestros hijos, sino a en ser parte de su crecimiento y educarlos para que se conviertan en personas de valor”.

At the same time, it is also the one that I have enjoyed the most. Being a mother is not limited to giving birth and feeding our children but to be part of their growth and to educate them so that they become people of value.”

Madre y mujer en servicio a su comunidad

Ser madre es guiarlos para que puedan definir lo bueno de lo malo cuando ya no estemos con ellos, y, posean la misma motivación y entrega que les enseñamos a través de su crecimiento. Ese es mi propósito, ver que mis hijas crezcan y se conviertan en mujeres valiosas. Y el don de ser madre ha sido resultado de un tiempo de espera: “El proceso para embarazarme fue largo y difícil, pero más importante que eso, fue un milagro de Dios. Yo anhelaba tener hijos y el momento no llegaba. Cuando finalmente lo logramos, no podíamos contener la felicidad”. Un poco de tiempo después, esa misma felicidad se multiplicó cuando supimos que eran dos niñas en vez de una. Estábamos ansiosos ya que yo era primeriza, pero felices porque faltaba poco para tenerlas en nuestros brazos. Ahora que mis niñas están conmigo, no me imagino esta experiencia de ninguna otra forma.

Mother and Woman in Service of Her Community

Being a mother is to guide them so that they can define the good from the bad when we are no longer with them and so that they possess the same motivation and dedication that we teach them throughout their growth. That’s my purpose, to see my daughters grow up and become valuable women. And the gift of being a mother has been a result of a waiting time: The process to get pregnant was long and difficult, but more important than that, it was a miracle from God. I longed to have children and the moment would not come. When we finally did, we could not contain the happiness. A little time later, that same happiness multiplied when we found out that they were two girls instead of one. We were anxious since I was first-time mother but happy because it would not be long before we had them in our arms. Now that my girls are with me, I can’t imagine this experience in any other way.

Me siento bendecida porque tengo un gran sistema de apoyo en mi hogar y en mi trabajo. Estoy rodeada de personas que me ayudan y me mantienen fuerte, y eso no tiene precio. Ellas me facilitan el poder dedicarles a mis hijas el tiempo que necesitan conmigo. Martinez-Ward quien entiende lo difícil que puede ser la maternidad desde el momento en que se comienza a planear considera que lo importante para sobrellevar este proceso es mantener la fe y tener mucha paciencia: “Vivimos en un país donde todo se mueve rápido, y con una cultura de gratificación instantánea, es aún más frustrante tener que esperar sin garantías de ningún resultado”. También se hace muy difícil balancear la maternidad y una carrera; pero con el tiempo nos damos cuenta que estos pequeños momentos en realidad son los grandes momentos de nuestras vidas; solo hay que saberlos identificar.

I feel blessed because I have a great support system in my home and my work. I am surrounded by people who help me and keep me strong, and that is priceless. They facilitate my being able to dedicate my daughters the time they need with me. Martinez-Ward, who understands how difficult motherhood may be from the moment it begins to be planned, considers that the important thing to endure this process is to keep the faith and patience. We live in a country where everything moves fast, and with a culture of instant gratification, it is even more frustrating to have to wait without guarantees of any results. It is also very difficult to balance motherhood and a career, but with time, we realize that these small moments are in reality the great moments of our lives. We just have to know to identify them.

Una de las peculiaridades de Miami es la riqueza cultural que posee. Aunque en el imaginario internacional se le sigue viendo como un balneario de lujo y comodidad, nuestra ciudad ofrece el privilegio de contar con una variedad de cocinas de diferentes latitudes.

One of the peculiarities of Miami is the cultural richness it possesses. Although in the international imagination it is still seen as a spa of luxury and comfort, our city offers the privilege of counting on a variety of cuisines from different latitudes.

Tan solo del hemisferio occidental podemos encontrar destinos gastronomicos de geografias y climas diferentes como lo son cocina centroamericana, del Caribe insular hispano ( Puerto Rico, Cuba y Republica Dominicana ), o de America del Sur sobretodo cocina colombiana, venezolana y peruana aunque tambien no es dificil encontrarse con las delicias culinarias de la cocina argentina o boliviana.

Just in the Western Hemisphere we can find gastronomic destinations of geographies and different climates such as Central American cuisine, of the Hispanic Caribbean islands (Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Dominican Republic), or of South America especially Colombian, Venezuelan, and Peruvian cuisine, although it is also not hard to find the culinary delights of the Argentine or Bolivian cuisine.

INGREDIENTES • 1 gallina o pollo de 4 Lb • 1 cebolla en cuartos • 1 chiltoma en trozos • 4 ajos pelados, sal y pimiento • 8 Tazas de agua • ½ Lb de chorizo, criollo • 4 cucharadas de mantequilla • 4 cucharadas de cocinar • 2 tazas de arroz lavado • 2 cebollas grandes picadas • 4 dientes de ajos picados • hojas de lechuga • huevos cocidos • pimentones morrones. • Algunos ingredientes extras al gusto pueden ser: jamon aceitunas o alcaparras

PREPARACIÓN Cueza el pollo en el agua, junto a la cebolla, chiltoma, ajos, sal y pimiento; Cuando este suave, sáquelo, déjelo enfriar y parta toda la carne en cuadros de ½., cuele el caldo y reserve 4 tazas. En 2 cucharadas de mantequilla y 2 cucharadas de aceite, fría el arroz por 8 a 10 minutos, moviéndolo continuamente; saque el arroz y en la misma sartén, ponga las otras 2 cucharadas de mantequilla y 2 cucharadas de aceite y fría en ellas las cebollas, ajos y pimienta y hiérvalos por 5 minutos mas; cuele este caldo después de exprimir bien las verduras contra las paredes de un colador de alambre, para sacarles todo el jugo; guárdelo. En una fuente con tapa, que pueda ir al horno ponga el arroz frito, revuelto con el pollo y los chorizos; agregue el caldo que recién coló y hornéelo, tapado, en 350 grados. Por una hora o hasta que esté suave y reventado. Puede ponerle mas caldo si lo necesita para reventar, pero debe quedar volado. Arréglelo con el platón, con hojas de lechuga al contorno , rodajas de huevos cocidos y tiras de pimientos morrones cocidos. (para 10 personas)

Tu destino es demasiado grande para alcanzarlo por ti mismo. Dios ha preparado y ha puesto en mi camino a otros para inspirarme, desafiarme y para ayudarme a crecer y alcanzar mis éxitos. Ten siempre presente que Dios sustituirá lo negativo por lo positivo y que si abres una puerta equivocada, tus sueños nunca darán un salto.

Esta es mi historia: Como les conté en una entrevista anterior, nací en Colombia, hija de inmigrantes, dentista internacional que creyéndole a Dios, hizo sus sueños para nacer y crecer de nuevo en un país de oportunidades: USA.

This is my story. As I told in a previous interview, I was born in Colombia, daughter of immigrants, an international dentist that, believing God, made her dreams to be born and grow again in a country of opportunities, USA.

Quiero invitarte a que creas que todo es posible, que no hay obstáculos demasiados altos, no hay enfermedad demasiado grave ni sueno demasiado lejano.

I want to invite you to believe that everything is possible, that there are no obstacles too high, there is no sickness too severe nor dream too far.

¡Tú y Dios pueden con todo! Su promesa está viva y quiero que creas que cada vez que pases más desafíos, tu te elevarás más alto.

You and God can with everything! His promise is alive, and I want you to believe that every time you go through challenges, you will rise higher.

Mi prueba ha sido ser una inmigrante que le creyó a Dios, rompió barreras de idioma, educación, dinero, soledad, cultura y paciencia.

My trial has been being an immigrant who believed God, broke barriers of language, education, money, loneliness, culture, and patience.

El propósito de Dios en las crisis no es tan solo mostrar su poder sino también mostrar a otras personas lo que el puede hacer. Hoy en día luego de 17 años de fe y perseverancia he visto cumplidos mis sueños de ejercer como dentista y así servir a la comunidad. Quiero humildemente presentarles a la oficina dental de mi padre: “Tu Dios,” de la cual soy su administradora y a mi equipo de trabajo, mas los servicios que tengo a su disposición: Examen dental comprensivo, radiografías digitales, servicios dentales generales y asesoría con especialistas. Todo esto acompañado por un servicio personalizado donde la calidad y la atención al cliente es la regla número uno de la practica dental.

The purpose of God in the crisis is not only to show His power but also to show to other people what He can do. Today, after 17 years of faith and perseverance, I have seen my dreams fulfilled to practice as a dentist and serve the community this way. It is a spiritual blessing to serve our Abba Father, who has taken us from blessing to blessing every time we take His Word to the neediest, who have been victims of drugs and alcohol by slavery of sin. In the prisons of Dade County, as well as others in the State of Florida, we arrive presenting the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. “To whom the Son sets free is free indeed” (John 8:36). It is a continuous fight against the evil hosts of darkness that attack us daily to make it impossible for us to take His Word. Our last visit of the year 2016 was in Lowell Annex Prison, where we had a time of joy and blessing. We were sharing with the sisters who continue telling us the change that God does through His Son Jesus Christ, how their families have been restored and things they never thought they could recover have been returned to them. We continue preparing ourselves in this New Year 2017 that will bring more blessings, as well as deliverance, to all those we find in the different prisons. We have been invited to go to prisons outside the State of Florida. We just wait on God to launch us where there is always a need and when He leads us. Todos los días son especial para nosotras las mujeres, pero cuando llega el 8 de marzo, el día Internacional de la Mujer definitivamente es un día donde no debemos pasar por alto el gran valor que tenemos en nuestras distintas etapas de vida y en los diversos roles que desempeñamos como madres, esposas, amas de casa, profesionales, empresarias etc… A lo largo de los años, a través de “Mujer Única”, el ministerio que Dios me ha permitido dirigir, he ministrado a tantas mujeres llenas de tristezas, depresión, y culpabilidad por errores del pasado y por situaciones difíciles que les ha tocado atravesar sin ellas haberlas provocado. Es por esto que este año quise celebrar en grande este día especial en un evento gratuito donde recibimos a más de mil quinientas mujeres y aproximadamente otras mil que se conectaron en distintas partes del mundo a través de la transmisión en vivo por internet. Repartimos regalos, sorpresas y sobre todo un mensaje motivador y esperanzador bajo el lema: “Sobre todo guarda tu corazón”. Cítricos con Sal o Azúcar

Esta estimulante mezcla es la mejor manera de empezar tu día.

Necesitas: ½ taza de sal o azúcar morena ½ taza de aceite (jojoba, almendra, olivo, etc). 1 cucharadita de ralladura de cítrico (limón, lima, naranja, toronja o una combinación de ellos) Mezcla todo bien y aplica sobre la piel en la regadera, da un masaje. Evita los ojos. Recuerda que puedes consentirte y cuidar del medio ambiente al mismo tiempo.

Menta y Azúcar para los labios

Esta suave mezcla quitará la piel muerta de los labios mientras que los humecta y perfuma ligeramente.

Necesitas: ½ cucharada de azúcar glass (también llamada azúcar en polvo) ½ cucharada de aceite de jojoba u olivo 1-3 gotas de aceite de menta o vainilla Mezcla los ingredientes y aplica sobre los labios, masajea suavemente un minuto o dos y enjuaga.

Banana y Azúcar

Esta receta no utiliza aceites, por lo que es ideal para pieles grasas.

Necesitas: 1 plátano maduro 3 cucharadas de azúcar granulada ¼ de cucharada de extracto de vainilla (opcional). Aplasta todos los ingredientes hasta tener una mezcla medio viscosa, si queda demasiado fina no servirá. Aplica la mezcla sobre tu cuerpo en la regadera y da un masaje. Si planeas usarla en tu cara no mezcles con azúcar, con el plátano basta. Enjuaga con agua tibia.

El significado en hebreo es: 1. Fuerza como de un ejército. 2. Riqueza. 3. Valor. 4. Potencia o fuerza. Ahora, cuando se habla de fuerza la única manera de medirla es a través de cuánto peso se puede resistir, cargar o levantar. Por ello, todos podemos encontrar fácilmente una mujer valiente, que soporta lo que un hombre no soportaría. Y un ejemplo de esto es que tu puedes dar a luz un hijo, porque definitivamente nosotros no resistiríamos. Y es porque tu mujer, ante todo dolor, adversidad o aflicción siempre te levantas. En otras palabras, puedes resistir aflicciones de afuera por el nivel de fuerza que portas por dentro.

Mi nombre es Javier Fernández, nadie me conoce por mi verdadero nombre sino por el artístico Javier Voltage. Nací en La Habana, Cuba, soy de un poblado del oeste habanero, Santa Fe. Comencé en el año 2000 con una agrupación que se llama Clan 537. Trascendimos Cuba con música nueva, la nueva generación de música urbana. Hicimos temas como Quien tiro la tiza, Sé que te va a doler, Corazón de hielo, Cúmbara cumbara.

My name is Javier Fernandez. Nobody knows me by my real name but by the artistic Javier Voltage. I was born in Havana, Cuba and am from a western habanero village, Santa Fe. I started in the year 2000 with a group called Clan 537. We transcended Cuba with new music, the new generation of urban music. We did titles like “Quien tiro la tiza,” “Sé que te va a doler,” “Corazón de hielo,” “Cúmbara cumbara.”

Hable con un amigo cristiano y acepte a Jesús como Salvador. No sabía lo que estaba haciendo pero sí que necesitaba un cambio. Empecé a congregarme en una iglesia en Las Vegas que se llama La familia restaurada. Seguí haciendo música secular. Cree un dúo llamado Javier Voltage y Vitamina C. Sacamos un disco La verdad de mi tierra fue uno de los más exitosos de mi carrera.

In 2007, I created my company Metamorfosis Music and it was there that I met Christ. I was going through a very difficult time. I had everything in life, but I was missing Jesus. I did not understand it; I came with the Afro-Cuban religion, and there were things I dragged as curses to all the places I was going. My life was very transformed: Lust, women, money, and drugs had entangled me in such a way that I was losing my family. My wife got pregnant with my first child. I talked with a Christian friend and accepted Jesus as Savior. I did not know what I was doing, but I did need a change. I began to congregate in a church in Las Vegas that is called La Familia Restaurada (The Restored Family). I continued making secular music. I created a duo called Javier Voltage and Vitamin C. Estuve pre-nominado al premio Bilboard, fui finalista de los Grammys. Empezamos a hacer giras internacionales. Cante con todos los reguetoneros más grandes de la música actual en todos los escenarios importantes de la música actual. En el 2011 me mudé a Miami en busca de mi propósito. Conocí el ministerio internacional El Rey Jesús. Me convertí en un discípulo activo de la iglesia online y decidí venir a Miami siguiendo ese ministerio. En el año 2012, el 18 de febrero, hice mi último concierto secular con Pitbull en México. Ese día marcó mi vida. Muchos me pedían que yo dejara esta música y le cantara a Cristo pero yo no me veía cantando a Cristo. Era algo muy difícil de desarraigar en mi vida. Cuando estaba cantando en el escenario, empecé a ver como las mujeres se drogaban, tomaban y era el producto de lo que estaba haciendo. Ese día yo me encerré en mi habitación en el hotel. Al día siguiente regresaba a Miami desde Cancún y decidí que no cantaba más. Negocie el contrato, pague mi liberación. Y empezó la etapa más difícil: ver que iba a pasar con mi vida artística. Yo nunca me imaginé que a Dios le iba a gustar lo que yo iba a cantar. Una noche sentado en mi casa sentí una voz que me decía yo quiero que tu sigas creando los mismos ritmos, pero con una letra que edifique a los jóvenes. Así escribí una canción que se llama Solamente un Rey. Una canción que ha sido un éxito mundial. La mande a la radio y la radio se encargó de hacerla un éxito. Así cree Rompiendo cadenas, Cristo me hizo libre, Te amo, Tengo fe. Seis canciones de doce que había en el disco fueron éxito en la radio. When I was singing on the stage, I started to see how women would drug themselves, would drink, and it was the product of what I was doing. That day I locked myself in my room at the hotel. The next day I returned to Miami from Cancun and decided that I would not sing anymore. I negotiated the contract and paid for my release. The most difficult stage started—seeing what was going to happen with my artistic life. I never imagined that God would like what I was going to sing. One night sitting in my house, I felt a voice that would say to me I want you to continue creating the same rhythms, but with lyrics that edifies the youth. So I wrote a song called “Solamente un Rey”. A song that has been a worldwide success. I sent it to the radio and the radio was responsible in making it a success. So I created “Rompiendo cadenas,” “Cristo me hizo libre,” “Te amo,” “Tengo fe.” Six songs of twelve that were in the album were successes on the radio. Then I realized that it was not me; it was Christ doing it.

Según los criterios de datación convencionales utilizados, este hallazgo retrasaría la aparición de la vida en la Tierra unos trescientos millones de años. A primera vista pareciera que este descubrimiento es uno más en la lista de aquellos que apoyan la evolución de la vida en la Tierra. Según comúnmente se piensa mientras más antigüedad tengan las formas de vida más tiempo tendría el mecanismo de la selección natural de actuar. De ahí que algunos cristianos prefieran cuestionar los métodos utilizados por los paleontólogos para datar la antigüedad de estos hallazgos. Sin embargo, como otras veces ha sucedido, las predicciones de la teoría evolucionista fallan. A few weeks ago, the scientific world was stirred by the discovery of the oldest fossil of our planet. According to the conventional-dating criteria used, this finding would delay the appearance of life on Earth some three hundred million years. At first glance, it seems this discovery is another on the list of those supporting the Evolution of life on Earth. As commonly thought, the more antiquity the forms of life have, the more time the mechanism of natural selection would have to act. Hence, some Christians prefer to question the methods used by paleontologists to date the antiquity of these findings. However, as it has happened other times, the predictions of the evolutionary theory fail. What the theory of the origin of life on Earth supposes is that such a thing appeared much later, offering sufficient time for the action of a blind mechanism to produce it. Someone could think, however, that a difference of 300 million years would not be relevant, but it greatly reduces the time spent by natural selection to act.
