George J. Anderson was a lifelong educator in Allen. After many years of service with Allen ISD, the Board of Trustees visited his house early one morning and brought the declaration that they were naming a school after him. That morning he said, “I now have 900 children this year.” Mr. Anderson could always be counted on to shake the hands of students and families to welcome them on their first day of school until his passing in 2003.
