Sommerakademie Prospekt 2026

“On Stage”

Seien Sie uns herzlich willkommen!

Music lives on stage. It comes alive through the very moment when space, sound, and audience meet.Withthis year’s theme “On Stage”, Allegro Vivo devotes its 48th season to musical expression and to that unique power that tells stories, stirs emotions, and strengthen cultural exchange.

At the same time, in the “Cycle of Encounters”, we turn our attention to the musical lifelines of Southern and Central Europe: Italy, the Balkans, and Austria—regions linked by a long shared history. For centuries, these cultures have shaped — as essential pillars of Central European musical tradition — the vitality of Viennese Classicism, the emotional depth of German Romanticism, and the diversity of Modernism, and thus also this year’s festival program.

In this 48th festival season, we also open the doors of our international summer academy and welcome more than 500 young talents from across the globe.

We warmly welcome you all!

“Spotlight on your body”

08. 08.– 15. 08.

Workshop with Silke Dewath

“Life is focused attention.”Every artist knows this moment of total presence – the attention that flows toward music, audience and expression. But true mastery also begins behind the stage: in how we relate to ourown body,to tension and release, to awareness itself. Silke’s workshops offer musicians an opportunity to reconnect with their body as a source of clarity, strength and balance – essential qualities on stage and beyond. You can choose between

• Morning Body Awakening (30 min, group): Gentle mindful exercises to activate body and mind before rehearsals.

• Guided Muscle Relaxation (20 min, group): Structured relaxation to support mental focus and regeneration.

• Massage sessions (30 min, individual): Targeted bodywork for recovery and renewed energy.

Workshop included in the course fee, please sign in with your application. Individual lessons bookable.

Workshop with Veronika Morscher

Performing on stage can be the most exhilarating feeling for some of us and hands down one of the most stressful situations for others. If you are struggling with this, there are a lot of possibilities to turn your stage experience from something that is driven by fear into something more enjoyable and more authentic. How can you find a little more ease and fulfillment on stage? How can you stay focused and maintain a strong presence? In this workshop, you’ll receive plenty of input through working with the body, breath, and mind. We will explore concepts from psychology, yoga and music physiology.

Join me for this interactive workshop where you will gather valuable tools to make your stage experience your own. Veronika Morscher is a singer-songwriter, yoga teacher and psychologist who teaches performance coaching, concentration practice, bodywork and yoga at Music and Performing Arts Universities in Vienna and Frankfurt.

In this workshop, we will practise entering and leaving the stage, dealing with applause and making livelycontact with theaudience.Throughbodywork, weincreaseourpresence and strengthen ourwell-being on stage.

Workshop included in the course fee, please sign in with your application. Individual lessons bookable.

• How can I stay well concentrated and keep a strong presence on stage?

• How can I find relief for recurring pain in hands, arms, shoulders, neck, back?

• How do I preserve practicing and playing enjoyable?

In our workshop we work on your individual issues by means of different mental training techniques, mindfulness- and resource management, yoga, music physiology and other methods.
