She goes on to express her gratitude for the support she’s received, not just in business, but on a personal level too. “He really cares about people. We all go through challenges, but having that person to support you, well, I couldn’t have done it without him.” When

Something we wanted to gain insight on was what the business meant to Asma, and how she wanted to build her organisation. We asked what she believed would be the Imperium Global Marketing Group tagline, if there were to be one. She answered with, “Pursue your goals”. Not a throwaway remark, but a passionate belief and sentimental notion. She tells of her first organisational meeting and how when asked to relay her goals, she began to cry. Driven by her family, Asma aims to retire her parents within the near future, and sponsor her sister to go to University. Asma understands that where business goals may adjust over time, and as obstacles make themselves known, her personal goals will never falter. It’s this drive and focus that enables her to tackle oncoming challenges. We had to take the opportunity to share some advice from such an inspirational business owner. Breaking it down to various roles within the business, she offered these words of wisdom. If you’re a brand new team member “Do not compare yourself to others, we all learn at our own pace.” If you’re a new Leader “Do what you want to do. It’s not going to work if you’re just following other people”

Recognising the importance of the nonprofit sector - Every single sale that goes through the business goes to charity, that’s incredible. Matt extends his last point by saying: “The ethics needs to be reflected in the work we do. What do you imagine about a company that works with charities? I’d expect them to have a kindness, a genuine passion for the causes they represent, honesty, and strong ethics.” Monument Promotions are very much in sync with the charity partners they represent, and they take ownership of that within their company culture. Having always been proud of the funds his business raises, Matt knew from day one that the company culture had to shine through. Reflecting on the time and headspace he was involuntarily gifted thanks to Covid-19, he notes how it really elevated the importance of the impact he could, and wanted to have, on not only the beneficiaries of each charity, but those directly around him.

To kick things off, Rob organised the first Mentorprise Meeting for the 29th June for all Owners, Assistant Owners, Crew Leaders and Adminstration Staff. The theme of the meeting, encompassing the reasoning behind the brand perfectly, is “How to run a successful business”, whereby there will be guest speakers for key topics: Compliance, Profitability, Client Liaison, How to understand your Sector, and Effective Business Planning. Alongside these will be administrative topics for all Recruiters and Event Coordinators on Skill Development, Organisation, and Goal Planning. In addition to these fantastic educational meetings and priceless networking opportunities, Rob and his team are arranging, what they call, “Owners Days”. A social get together for the Managing Directors within the organisation as well as one or two individuals that are excelling at their own level; a unique chance to spend time with those that are more experienced, running businesses already, and perhaps great mentors. Unsure if it had at first, he realised that welcoming Theo Collis-Cotterell into the world has meant his sense of urgency has intensified. The ultimate goal is time, building the organisation to such a level whereby he, and Nina, have the freedom of time to spend as a family, providing the life they dream of. This goal in business terms is 20 more offices in the next 5 years. With special mention to Fidel, Gary and Sam opening their offices in the near future, Rob is certain of their collaborative success. We asked Rob what he thought the difference might be between his business 5 years ago, and his business today. He replied by saying how they were previously hoping and dreaming of expansion and hitting goals, having never done it before. But now: “It’s not just a pipedream, it’s a proven success model, and that feels great. We’re showing exactly what can and has been done,
