KEY CLUBS OBJECTIVES

Key Club strives to be the difference in our community. In doing so, we partake in various service projects. Any opportunity we come upon to volunteer is an honor to be included in. In Key Club we also expect our members to follow these ideals....

To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.

To provide a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render unselfish service and to build better communities.

BLUE SANTA SHOPPING

This past December we were so thankful to be invited by our local Police Department to help out with Blue Santa. We all met at the Walmart , including Honors Society, Student Council, and Honors Society. An officer gave us a brief introduction to what this event was. She reminded us of the service we were doing as a community to help kids during the holidays, and how glad she was to have met us. Then we got to business!! They handed out papers to each group of 3. The papers had a child's name and their Christmas list wishlist. As she handed out the papers I took a look around and admired my fellow classmates, for having such hearts that they have. I was grateful to be there on that day, and take part in something so special. It truly meant a lot to Key Club, to know that this Christmas we would be putting a huge smile on many faces. After we had all the gifts checked off the list, we headed to the checkout area, where the officers were ready to accommodate us. Finally, the officers and a few Key Club members helped load them up on a U-Haul. The Day after that was the gift wrapping. We all met at the Groves Community Center. The Police Department had some breakfast ready for us, so we would be fully energized for the gift wrapping. There was an estimate of 8 tables of the supplies needed. The officers made everything a smooth process, and were so nice! Overall the whole experience of Blue Santa was an amazing one. Can't wait for it again next year!!
