Traditionallywehavehostedtwomajorfundraiserseachyear,aswellas a number of smaller events and fundraisers. These events are designed to increase the awareness of the Hall as well as generate income to support the ongoing operations of the facility. With a decrease in our operational grant from the provincial government our strategic plan requiresustolookintonewrevenuestreamsandfundraisingefforts.

In the hall we co-hosted our annual golf tournament with the Innisfail Eagles Hockey Team. This 9-hole tournament was held at the Innisfail Golf Course with 110 golfers. Complete with dinner and a silent auction. Wesuccessfullyraised $20,000.

In October we hosted our first post-Covid Induction Ceremony welcoming the class of 2022. We inducted 11 deserving Alberta Athletes, Builders, Media Personnel, and Pioneers. We moved from our traditional sit-down dinner event to a cocktail reception at Red Deer Polytechnic ArtsCenter.Wehad199guestsinattendanceandrealizedasmallprofit.

We host a variety of smaller family events at the Hall throughout the year.Thisyearwewelcomed218guestsforourannualFamilyEasterEgg hunt. Our Halloween event was less attended. But we did wrap up the yearwithasold-outFamilyNewYear'sEvePartywith50familiesringing in2023attheHallwiththeirFamilies.

WehostedanadditionalfundraiserwiththeInnisfailEaglesonMarch30. This was a pub night at the Hideout with live entertainment and a silent auction.Wewereabletoraise$4400withthisadditionalevent.

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame broke its all time attendance record in 2022. Prior to this the record was set in 2009 with 14,003 visitors and we ended the yearwith19,204visitors.
