WHAT’S GOING ON AT AJAX
SMITH SYSTEM CLASSES
With Smith System, we have trained over 200 Ajax drivers. These classes are offered for all Ajax employees, including employees from trucking, management, construction and the plants. The goal is to educate with knowledge and tools to make better decisions behind the wheel. We have gotten great positive feedback from employees who have completed Smith System. We have even been told quite a few times employees have taken these concepts home to teach teenage drivers and other family members!
KAPNICK WELLNESS PORTAL: NEW YEAR, NEW GOALS! New in 2020 was the addition of the Kapnick Wellness Portal. This wellness portal has been implemented by Ajax to increase the health and wellness of all our employees. Starting in 2021, Ajax will be hosting quarterly competitions and challenging employees to track their exercise/ activity via the portal for a chance to win prizes. Keep an eye out for more information on the Quarterly Wellness Challenges! Let’s work together to set new goals and hold each other accountable on the path to wellness!
DO GOOD, SAVE LIVES In 2020, Ajax employees donated 28 units of blood through blood drives hosted by One Blood. Did you know 28 units will help the lives of 84 patients? In 2021, keep an eye out for information regarding when the Big Red Bus will be returning to an Ajax location near you. Giveaways such as t-shirts and gift cards are often added incentives for employees to donate and participate. Do good, save a life!
