Slow down. Move through the forest slowly so you can see and feel more.
Take long breaths deep into the abdomen Extending the exhalation of air to twice the length of the inhalation sends a message to the body that it can relax.
Stop, stand, or sit, smell what’s around you, what can you smell? Take in your surroundings using all your senses. How does the forest environment make you feel? Be observant, look at nature’s small details
Sit quietly using mindful observation; try to avoid thinking about your to-do list or issues related to daily life. You might be surprised by the number of wild forest inhabitants you see using this process
Keep your eyes open The colours of nature are soothing, and studies have shown that people relax best while seeing greens and blues.

Going Virtual? Here are our top choices to participate virtually:
Many of these activities above can be completed virtually in a teams meeting, for Earth clean up download the teams app on your phone and take the group call on a walk with you.
For the Forest Bathing and Environmental impact activities, use the teams app and screen share the virutal experience option.
Activities are always more fun when everyone has the opportunity to participate, here are some accessibility points to consider:
Everyone processes information differently, always invite people to share but allow them to pass if they need some additional time to reflect. Allow options for how people want to share with the group- some like to talk, others may feel more comfortable typing in chat, sending an image, or “liking” someone else’s comments.
When participating in a physical activity (ex walk)- always make sure that you provide an alternative.
Watch and discuss it and how it relates to your connection with others or what you could do to improve your connections with others, click here:
