The purpose of Team Health day is for each team to have fun participating in healthy activities together.

This year Team Health Day will take place on Friday, April 21st from 9:00am3:30pm.

teams will work/play together to complete Suggested activities. These activities are centered around the six core elements in the Agilec Healthy YOU Wellness Strategy:

ARTH CLEAN UP:

urn off the office lights, grab a garbage bag and head utside. Using gloves go around your office area and try eeing how much litter you can collect and ethically spose of within the time frame of an hour Maybe a prize or the most litter collected?

FOREST BATHING

Find a close park, forest, trail, and as a team travel there and complete the following exercise For those who can’t leave the office or are remote there is a 360 4k interactive experience, follow the link provided.

Turn off your devices to give yourself the best chance of relaxing, being mindful and enjoying a sensory forest-based experience.

Slow down. Move through the forest slowly so you can see and feel more.

Take long breaths deep into the abdomen Extending the exhalation of air to twice the length of the inhalation sends a message to the body that it can relax.

Stop, stand, or sit, smell what’s around you, what can you smell? Take in your surroundings using all your senses. How does the forest environment make you feel? Be observant, look at nature’s small details

Sit quietly using mindful observation; try to avoid thinking about your to-do list or issues related to daily life. You might be surprised by the number of wild forest inhabitants you see using this process

Keep your eyes open The colours of nature are soothing, and studies have shown that people relax best while seeing greens and blues.

STEP/ MOVEMENT CHALLENGE

Have a running tally for the day to see who is leading the pack with their steps/ movements! Remember 10K is the daily suggestion!

WATER PONG

Fill 6 solo cups on each side with water and take turns trying to eliminate your opponent’s cups before they eliminate yours. Lose a cup, drink the water! Stay hydrated friends!

Play a board game, or work together to complete a jigsaw puzzle

VISION BOARDS

Create vision boards/collages – bring in magazine clips/pictures and work together as a group to build a vision board, or create them independently and then reconnect to share your boards as a group

LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER

Teach each other something that is not work related that you know about, or know how to do Some examples could be Reiki, knitting, how to throw a curve ball, etc.

TRANSFORMATIONAL WELLNESS refers to having values and beliefs that provide a sense of meaning and purpose to your life and considering whether your actions align with your values. This includes accepting and understanding your own feelings and expressing emotion in a constructive way. It is also the ability to manage stress and cope with life’s challenges.
