Sarah Duffy ADDERBURY GATHERING Banbury and Evesham Quakers invite you to the “Adderbury Gathering,” our free annual public talk, at the Adderbury Quaker Meeting House, at 3.00 pm on Sunday 21 June. Afternoon tea follows at 4.00 pm. The speaker will be Sheikh Dr Ramzy, an Islamic scholar based in Oxford, the Director of the Oxford Islamic Information Centre and a very active speaker in many inter-cultural forums. He will speak about “Peace, Peacemaking and Islam.” Dr. Ramzy is also a Peace Ambassador for the Universal Peace Federation, a Member of the UN Association and has been the Chair of Education Committee of the Muslim Council of Britain. Dr. Ramzy achieved his PhD from Oxford Brookes University. This Quaker Meeting House is one of the oldest in the country --- built in 1675 --- and a very special place.
