WINGS NEWSLETTER Dear Parents and Friends of Sunderland
Vol 16, Term Four, Week Three, 30 October 2020
I hope like me, everyone enjoyed the long weekend. Wasn’t the weather fantastic! All the sunshine and lovely temperatures are certainly not helping the Auckland draught situation unfortunately. Fingers crossed we get some rain again soon. It felt like almost the entire school was sitting examinations this week, with the Upper Primary, Lower College and the Seniors all sitting their respective exams. The Seniors do continue over the next four weeks with the Lower College and Upper Primary all finished on Friday – a relief for them that the assessments are now complete. This Friday night is the Annual Halloween Primary Disco and I know the Parents and Friends Committee and Associate Leaders are hosting our little folk for their disco. There will be a lot of happy/sweaty young children at the conclusion of the night. A special thank you to the five staff who will also support on the night. This week I had the opportunity to visit a number of the Lower Primary classes – always one of my highlights. All the children were engaged with their learning and having fun in the process. Well done to our newest class – 1DS. They have all made a wonderful transition into primary education and Mrs Debbie Sangprong is doing a superb job with these young learners.
