EDITOR’S NOTE Welcome to the maiden edition of the Hope Herald – our monthly newsletter here at Abundant Life Faith Centre – a home to a family of mission-oriented believers who embrace people from all nations and walks of life. The Hope Herald brings you truths and testimonies of God at work in the everyday life of people just like you.

In this edition of the Hope Herald, we feature life experiences of believers who faced and overcame day-to-day challenges by drawing strength from the Word of God. One of the featured stories is about a couple and how they overcame their challenge in conceiving a child. They tell of how they stood in faith to see a dream that looked impossible manifest in their own lives. As you read these shared experiences, we trust God that you will witness their potential to ignite overcoming power and hope in your life We welcome you to journey with us the rest of 2021 – our year of GREATER GLORY. Let’s walk and grow together in God’s love; love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes in all things and is a breeding ground for our potential to manifest and our abilities to come alive. As we do so, keep in mind that “the purpose of God is superior to our plans. Make it a priority therefore to submit your plans to God.” It is with great excitement that we also invite you to our Mother’s day celebration service on 9th May 2021. Come and experience an atmosphere of rich and in-depth teaching of the Word. Your visit with us is a good opportunity for you to get to meet some of the people behind the stories and experience of God’s love that we’ve written about in this month’s edition of the Hope Herald. UNDERSTANDING GOD'S PLANS ▶ God's plans were laid out before the foundations of the world and the purpose of these plans is that His glory may be showcased. ▶ The more truth you gain access to, the more freedom you will experience –Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, “ if ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 KJV) ▶ Amplify the word more than you amplify issues of the world. ▶ Jesus' words inspire peace. Where peace is, fruitfulness is inevitable.

TESTIMONIES A few years ago, we lost our first baby at birth. Early in 2020, my wife went for a medical checkup because we were having difficulty conceiving. The doctor’s report revealed that both her fallopian tubes were closed. That meant she could not conceive. In order to conceive, we were given three options: in vitro fertilization (IVF); an operation or flushing. When she came with this news, I was not moved by the doctor’s report. That’s because around that time, I had dived into the study about healing and was listening to messages about healing.

By the time it came, my faith was already high. We joined faith together with my wife, and believed God The Kasozis for a turnaround. In June 2020, my wife missed her monthly cycle so we did a home pregnancy test which turned out positive. We went to hospital to confirm what the Lord had done for us. While at hospital, the doctor who examined her asked if the report she had previously been given about her fallopian tubes being blocked was correct. According to him, everything seemed perfectly fine! We conducted a second laboratory test and the result showed that everything was okay. The doctor flagged off the first report as being false. I know and I am persuaded that because we dived in the Word of God, we stood on it and judged the Lord true and faithful to what He had promised and spoken. That stand led us to see the manifestation of God’s Word in form of a seed.

In the early months of the pregnancy, a scan was carried out which revealed there was a growth in my wife’s womb. The doctor said this would affect the baby’s development in the womb. my response to this was, “we know of a healing God who has already sorted out this issue.” We spoke to the growth and it disappeared, we even forgot about it. Months later, she went for her routine antenatal visit. They did a scan and no growth was found in her womb. On Friday, 26th February 2021, my wife got labor pains and we took her to the hospital. By the time I came to the labor ward with her file, she had already given birth. I have seen healing first-hand; and that has caused me to dive in deeper into God, to pursue Him and I have since seen others experience it too. As a couple, we have seen the manifestation of the goodness of God. We give praise to God for what He has done in our family.

A Life Transformed

I joined ALFC in 2002. By the time I came, I had given up on life and was even having suicidal thoughts. I did not know where I was going; my life was stuck in one place, without any direction. When my brother who was already a member of ALFC invited me to church, I was hesitant to come because I had heard many say that ALFC was a ministry where only the rich and those who spoke English attended. My brother insisted and I finally agreed to come. When I came, I found a different thing.

The people were welcoming and treated me as if I was one of their own. I eventually became a member of the ministry, even though I did not know how to speak Moses. M English (which I started to learn). At ALFC, God kept on teaching me, and He added to me another parent - my Pastor (Dr. Handel Leslie). He too encouraged me to learn English. He always spoke positively into my life, saying I would be the head and not the tail. His continuous encouragement helped change my mindset, and I began to see myself in a better way. In 2017, God added to me a beautiful wife and this year (2021), we celebrate five years of holy matrimony. God has been so good to us, He has provided for us, He has given us love, and a good life which I had never thought of before. We have been blessed with two beautiful children.

When the people who knew me in the life before meet me today, they stand in utter amazement and ask me if I am really the person they knew then.

When they look at what I have accomplished, my beautiful family and my attitude towards life, they see a real moving testimony. I thank God for where he is taking us, and I know he is taking us to places of greater Glory!

A Life Preserved On 15th March, while attending a lunch-hour fellowship at Fido-dido in Kampala as is my habit, the ceiling collapsed and fell on us. I thank God that I managed to flee the site unharmed. In the struggle to get out amidst other people, I fell down the steps but still my life was preserved. I suffered only a minor injury on my right hand from which I am recovering, I give God all the glory.

A Life Preserved

I glorify God for preserving my life while at work. In my line of duty, one of the risks we face is that of falling from heights. Working on ladders possess a danger of falling. Two weeks ago, I was about to finish my work when I got onto ladders. As I was going about my work, one of the ladders slipped and fell down. I fell on the ground hitting my back side. My colleagues who were with me got so frightened and thought I wouldn’t get up. But I did get up! I thanked God that I still had my back bone and I continuously keep thanking Him in my spirit for my life. Surely God preserved my life, I give Him praise and all the honor.

“ GOD’S PLAN

An Answered Prayer About two weeks ago, we were replacing the roof at my place of residence.

The Engineer who was working with us delayed to bring the iron sheets, and we were left to an open roof. People around wondered how we were going to live in that atmosphere, considering that we were in a month when rains were expected to fall. We prayed to God to shut the heavens from rain until the iron sheets are put up, and He did so the entire time which was over a week! The rains came after the roofing was complete and we were comfortable. I thank God who answers our prayers.
