Life is spiritual; God intended for us to live it as such. Do you know what you look like in the spirit? The Bible has a lot to say about us in this regard. Let’s look at a few scriptures. 1 John 4:4 tells us, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome the world..." John wrote to the saints and called them overcomers. It's important to know what the Lord God calls you so that you don’t let situations, people, or even yourself declare otherwise.
The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit of God, called us triumphant: "Thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ" (2 Corinthians 2:14). How then would a seemingly failed attempt, say a failed business or a failed paper, or persistent sickness, define you? The revelation of this truth will bring you a lot of freedom. To get a pleasant outcome in a given life situation, speak the change you desire to the situation (mountain) that confronts you knowing that victory is already yours.
Break the limits off your life by allowing the word of God to take root and define you; let His power flow freely through you. How, you may ask? By accepting the sacrifice that the Lord Jesus offered on the cross for you, and receiving the full package of benefits from His sacrifice – forgiveness of your sin; the righteousness of God; freedom from fear, shame and scarcity, plus much more. Thereby obtaining a new nature—His nature. You are in Him, dressed and embodied in Him; He is your victory. As He is, so are you right now in this world: triumphant!
Anybody, including you, can live a victorious life if only they can dare to have faith in Jesus and His words. The Hope Herald magazine is committed to bringing you hope-filled articles, like you will read in the sections that follow, that inspire you to live a victorious life. WHEN TO HIDE AND SEEK
“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed” (Luke 5:16). That’s how Jesus concluded His day after ministering to a very large crowd that “…pressed upon him to hear the word of God” (Luke 5:1) and successfully recruiting new members to His staff team (Luke 5:10).
Moments of silence and solitude are very vital to maintaining a life of power, clarity of purpose and soundness of judgement. Success in life and ministry depends less on how much you do and more on how well you do it. It always helps to remember that God’s plan for your life is already blessed. All it takes to be a success in life and ministry is to be willing and obedient to follow His plan. That’s however takes being able to hear the voice of God and divine direction in your everyday.
Jesus understood His need for times to be alone so well that He never allowed his ministry schedule or success to get in the way of His private moments with God. He was deliberate to always pause and disappear from the crowds and his staff for moments of private prayer.
We see Jesus withdrawing to be by Himself in prayer in many scriptures across the New Testament such as Mark 6:46 and Luke 6:12-13. Notice, for example, from Luke 6:12-13, that His moments of private pray preceded some of His major decisions – like who to select to be a part of his core ministry team.
Finding moments for private prayer is not something Jesus kept to Himself alone. He made it one of the training and mentorship principles for His core staff team. In Mark 6:31-32, He notices that His team had been going hard and fast in ministry for a long time and were in need of a break. So, He instructs them to take a break and find some private time. I like the fact that they took a private ship to get away. That tells us it is fine to take a rest whatever they cost may be.
How often do you take a break for a moment of silence and solitude in prayer? Being busy all the time is unwise. That’s correct for all believers, regardless of whether you are in the marketplace or pulpit ministry. If you are not already doing so, start deliberately interrupting your routine schedule with private moments of meditation and prayer. In such moments, leave your gadgets behind to avoid interruption. The rewards of such a decision are priceless. It’s the key to being filled with divine wisdom and power for victorious living every day, everywhere and in everything you do.

NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU
As we move on in life, weapons and instruments of darkness will inevitably be formed against whatever we stand for. A weapon is an object designed or used to gain an advantage or to defend oneself in a conflict or contest. God has boldly spoken that there is no kind, no size, no design, or model of any weapon formed or invented against us that shall prosper or achieve its intended objectives.
Weapons are objects the enemy uses to operate against us, such as sickness, job complications, marital disharmony, financial challenge, etc. The enemy seeks to continuously speak negatively to us through these issues. What the enemy speaks may look like it’s a judgment, a final verdict but that is not the truth that defines you.
God doesn’t stop people or situations from gathering against us. This includes all kinds of persons of various statures or influences, but makes them fail. Human-generated or aided sinister plans and purposes against us shall fail. The scripture says, “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake” (Isaiah 54:15). What a promise from our God!
The enemy’s weapons fail to prosper when we correctly use our mouths. We are urged to condemn EVERY tongue – voice or opinion that falsely confronts us – with words of power, words of life; using our kingly authority as we reign in life. Scripture declares, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.’’ (Isaiah 54:17) Our new walk with our Lord Jesus in righteousness is a source of ever-abounding victory over whatever confronts us. Be of good cheer, child of God; you are an overcomer.

Ngobe, Makindye| Some trust in chariots, some in horses but I trust in the Lord. Ronald exclaimed! His father had been in and out of hospital. After about two months, he was diagnosed with a stomach infection and tuberculosis. By this time, their finances had been spent, and there wasn’t enough left to cover the whole medical bill. When he got ready to leave the hospital, his bill was so alarming. But God moved men to their aid, and it was cleared to zero.
Ronald desired to return to school, but his efforts were futile. Once his papers even got lost when he had gotten a chance to be enrolled. Last year, he managed to register for school; however, he had part of the registration fees. But he believed God for the rest of it; the Lord moved someone indebted to him to pay him. And he was able to clear the balance of the registration fees. He believed the Lord would clear his school tuition as well. And God continues to provide through different sources. Ronald is moving on steadily with his studies. Thanks be to God.
Kitende, Entebbe| Lydia is grateful to God for being a member of ALFC. At the beginning of the year, ALFC was praying for the eyes to see things to come in 2025 as revealed by the Holy Spirit. Lydia stood on this word and prayed. The Lord answered her and revealed certain things that were to happen at her workplace. This guided her to act with precision and understanding when she was tasked with different roles; she cooperated and did as required, despite her feelings towards the assignment. Her actions were critical to what the Lord had in store for her workplace. She thanks the Lord that she was able to do what was laid out for her and answer the call of destiny. Hallelujah!

Take Bible Verses on Fear
You may have already heard, but there are over 365 Bible verses that tell us not to fear; therefore, we have at least one for every day of the year! Over and over God speaks in the Bible and says "Do not be afraid...", "Do not fear...", "Fear not..." Many times, these are followed by Him saying that He is with us.
Many of the most fearful times in life are when we are alone. In those moments, God wants us to hear His words that He is with us; we are never alone when we have Jesus in our life! God is sovereign. Think about some of the things or circumstances we fear...God is greater than all! With Jesus in our life, we no longer have to fear sin, Satan, men, sickness, or even death. Jesus overcame; He says in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
One of the best Bible verses on [overcoming] fear is found in 1 John 4:18 - "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love."
Others include:
• Isaiah 41:10 - “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
• Deuteronomy 3:22 - "Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you."
• Joshua 1:9 - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
• Matthew 10:31 - "So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows." www.creativebiblestudy.com
