FORWARD FLOW

2023 Year of: POWERED BY PRECIOUS PROMISES

Editor’s Note

There is something delightful about a new start. However, it can also be unsettling if you do not know what lies ahead. Thank God for precious promises in His Word! They shine light into our future, dispelling the darkness and lies that fuel fear.

The Bible is full of these promises throughout the Old and the New Testament. All you have to do is find the place where “it is written”, then believe to see a manifestation of the same in your Life.

You see, our God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23: 19) neither is He a respecter of persons to discriminate. Any man who will believe and fulfill the conditions of His promises will have what they say. This is why we have the confidence to step into the New Year with boldness, assured of victory and help when we need it. For the promises of God insure us from the worlds’ system and its chaos.

With this knowledge, you have the liberty to dream big! No matter what didn’t work out last year. Write out your vision, adjust your mind and stretch yourself (enlarge your tent). Prepare to begin again! Re-strategize and map out your desired outcome. Then with an undeterred mind believe to see it happen. (James 1: 6, Mk 11: 24)

In this edition, we bring you good news of hope in the articles that follow. You will also read of how to attain and preserve the promises of God in your life. Check out the testimonies of God’s power working in the lives of everyday people that decided to trust Him.

We do encourage you to join our growing online community by having a regular stop-over at abundantlifefaithcentre.org While there, be sure to interact with various materials that will build your faith. You can also sign up and get included on our mailing list to get a copy of the Hope Herald delivered to your email every month. Positioning Yourself for FORWARD FLOW

One of the things that makes God worthy of our praise is the fact that He is involved in the affairs of His people on a daily basis. He is not only the God of yesterday and tomorrow. He is also the God of today.

There is no single day that goes by without the goodness of God being at work for your peace and prosperity. Knowing this is important for your everyday success because it is what makes Bible hope different from all other forms of hope (or wishful thinking).

As we start the New Year, it is wonderful to remember that each of the 365 days of 2023 comes with its own package of benefits for the ease and peace of your life. This awareness by the Spirit of God is what got the Psalmist to pen down Psalm 68:19: “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”

As a church family and partners in grace, God’s has unveiled 2023 to us as a year of Forward Flow powered by precious promises. He has pronounced upon us the grace to mature and multiply; and the grace to be rested and refreshed in the journey to bring forth our potential in Christ – both as individuals and as collective members of the body of Christ.

The word for the year 2023 is not something for you and I to expect once in a while. It is something for us to expect on a daily basis. Think and mediate about the truth that God has already sorted out 2023 for you; and then approach everyday like someone who knows that the year has a good ending.

Have you noticed how Psalms 68:19 above ends? It ends with the phrase “Selah”. Scholars tell us this phrase means to pause, or to reflect. Do not let Forward Flow just pass by your hearing like any ordinary statement. Make time to attend to it – mediate and ponder over what it means for your calling, your growth and your success; pray for understanding and wisdom to walk in it.

Find space early in the year to ask yourself some personal questions for improvement. Here are a few reflections you can use to get started with aligning yourself to Forward Flow in 2023. How do I adjust my lifestyle in 2023 to fit what the Word says about the following: improving my attitude; multiplying my time; simplifying and strengthening my relationships; sharpening my focus; enlarging my dream and increasing my diligence?

Prayerfully seek God for answers to the above questions. Find scriptures that talk to the above areas and apply them to your life. Let God use those scriptures to reveal how well you are doing or where you need improvement. Study the people in your life and learn from them in the above areas. I am in agreement with you for answers and solutions from the Word in 2023 that will keep you on the path of Forward Flow.

In the same period, the people who had registered them for bursaries returned and were able to take them to school. As she was still jubilating, the bank notified her that it would take possession of her house if she defaulted once more. She had a few days left to the due date of payment yet she didn’t have money enough to pay. The Lord channeled help from the saints at ALFC, her neighboring church. On hearing her predicament, they arose together and helped her settle the debt she owed, this saved her house. To this day, she marvels at the mighty hand of God.

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.

Many of us have a vision, an aspiration or a goal of where we would love to be in 2023. The Bible gives us a picture of where we ought to be. May be, the Lord has also given you a personalized prophetic word about your destiny and portion in His kingdom. So, how do you get to that place?

Writing to his spiritual son, Timothy, the Apostle Paul reminded him about the multiple prophecies that had been spoken over him concerning his future. He advised him on what to do about them saying, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare” (1 Timothy 1:18)

GOD IS A REWARDER

One of the most intriguing things about man is that he loves to be rewarded for what he has done. Rewards motivate him to keep going on. The Bible says, “While the earth remains, seed time and harvest time, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22) This means that there is a reward for everything you do under the sky.

In Isaiah 45:19, God says, “I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, seek me in vain; I, the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.” Since God has assured us of a reward, our hearts can rest as we labour in Him, enjoying His blessings of peace, love, divine health and so much more.
