ABUNDANT LIFE FAITH CENTRE

Did you know that the promises of God are voice-activated? Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Scripture repeatedly connects speaking with the Word of God. Joshua 1:8 instructs us, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth,” and Romans 10:8 affirms, “The word is near you, even in your mouth.” Even the psalmist declared, “My mouth shall speak of wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding” (Psalm 49:3). There is power in the spoken Word of God.
Words create. Genesis 1 demonstrates this truth: God spoke, and the creation responded. Biblical meditation requires not only reflecting on God's Word but also speaking it, aligning our lives with His will, and contradicting every negative situation. The entrance of His Word brings light and understanding (Psalm 119:130). One of the primary purposes of meditation is to gain understanding—an understanding that goes beyond mere intellectual knowledge. True understanding comes through revelation by the ultimate teacher – the Holy Spirit.
Without understanding, faith becomes shallow, lacking the depth necessary for victorious living. As Joshua 1:8 reminds us, we must meditate on God's Word “that [we] may observe to do according to all that is written in it.” The Bible is our divine manual, freely given to guide our walk of faith. Walking without understanding leads to a life of pseudo faith (1 Timothy 4:2), which is not God’s plan for His children. We are called to immerse ourselves wholly in the Word as a discipline that deepens our relationship with God.
Make a conscious decision to cultivate a student of the Word mindset this year. Read, study, and muse over scripture. As the Psalmist beautifully expressed, “My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD” (Psalm 104:34). May that be your testimony too. Keep your mind stayed on the Lord, and He will keep you in perfect peace.
This issue is packed with amazing articles, testimonies, and a special youth section for your nourishment. The Event’s Section highlights all our upcoming ministry initiatives that we invite you to be a part of.

Man’s kingly call to dominion is one that was given from the start. The idea of man that God had right from the start was of people exercising dominion over all the affairs of this earth realm! And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that
what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3 (emphasis
o not give ourselves to our priestly office, what we shall have are big words and bold declarations but NOTHING to show! Our kingship shall be exercised according to the wisdom and experience of men, both of which are limited!
men and women take up their priestly office and represent men to God that He will send/equip/empower them to represent Him to men in their kingly office, and whatever they say shall be backed with power to perform;
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job 22:27-28
This is how I want to live in 2025, each and every moment of each and every day. And yes, I know I won't run perfectly; I will stumble and probably want to give up, but I’m not giving up! I don’t want to just go through the motions of “shadowboxing”; I want my Bible study time to count, I want my prayers to count, I want my conversations to count, I want my ministry to others to count, I want whatever circumstances God allows in my life to count…I want my life to count for His glory and His kingdom, and I know you do too!
So, let's set our focus as the writer of Hebrews says “on Jesus the Author and Perfecter of my faith”. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God ( Hebrews 12:1-2 ).
This race is a marathon that takes endurance. It’s not a sprint, and it’s not in competition with other believers. It’s a race towards a goal. It’s a race running forward…not backward. It's a race moving forward in HOPE!
We’ve watched a couple of marathons in which our kids have run. If you’ve ever watched one or run in one, it’s very evident the runners aren’t focused on how the other runners are running or the sights along the way. They say by “the hated mile 23” their only thought is making it to the goal, pressing forward, and not giving in to even considering quitting. Mile 23 = almost there! (Marathon = 26.2188 miles)
We’re almost home…to the finish! Let’s not give up! How will we run for Christ this year? Let’s press forward…keeping our eyes on Jesus and following Him every step of the way! He is so worth it!

Are you ready for a relationship with Jesus as your Lord and Savior? It begins with a simple prayer in faith. Here is one you can repeat out loud enough to hear yourself: Dear God, I accept your forgiveness of my sin. I believe with my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead for my benefit, and I now declare Him to be my Savior and Lord, Amen.
If you just prayed as guided above, ALFC has a free package to help you settle in your faith and get started on the journey to a victorious life. Call 0394507090 or email us frontdesk@abundantlifefaithcentre.org.
