It is March, the month when we celebrate International Women’s Day. We join with the world to celebrate God’s beautiful creation. Wonderfully and fearfully made in God’s own image; women are devoted, cognitive, remarkable, tenacious and ingenious. They are natural home makers, who recognize that it is to the glory of God when their homes are cultivated well. Every wise woman encourages and builds up her family… (Proverbs 14:1 TPT) The adage that says, “Charity begins at home” is very true! We can all attest to the fact that it is through proper nurturing that we can go out into the community with an upstanding character. Who you are today is a result of a shaping from a great woman.

It could be your mother, auntie, grandmother, sister, friend or teacher. We encourage you that upon reading this, intentionally take time off to celebrate at least two or three of the women that have been a great influence to your life (it could be more...). Say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for them.

In this edition, we celebrate the uniqueness of women. In here, you will find articles written by great women of faith that will inspire you to become a better version of yourself. We also share powerful testimonies that will uplift and bring hope to your heart even as you read through.

God’s Unique Design For Women Women are designed to beautify, help and nurture. We are unique as women and have been uniquely designed by God to fulfill a purpose that only we can fulfill. God has given women beauty and a desire to beautify.

We are given to complement men. We must see ourselves fulfill this purpose wherever we are positioned. “This one is bone from my bone and flesh from my flesh.

She will be called Woman because she was taken out of man” (Genesis 2:23, NKJV). We are taught by God to seek the inner beauty of the heart.

Women are also uniquely designed as helpmates and nurturers. “It is not good that man should be alone, I will make him a helper comparable to him” (Genesis 2:18, NKJV) We have a natural gifting toward helping others. We instinctively see needs of others and desire to help.

We are designed to bear children. With this unique design, we are given the ability to nurture and care for others. Women are first to notice the emotional and physical needs of others and desire to care for that need.

Women, like men, are called to faith and to the great purpose of God. Some of the Bible Women like Deborah in Judges 4:4, Rahab in Joshua 6:25, Esther and Mary the mother of Jesus walked a faith path, with courage and were greatly used by God as Women of Faith.

Women, too are part of Christ’s bride – the Church. We are taught what godly character looks like and how to be a wife in Proverbs 31. Our marriages are to be a reflection of the ultimate marriage between Christ and the Church.

Women are called for God’s great purpose. We need to seek God’s greater purpose for us and let his word and His glory through Christ transform our lives. Let us not only pour out God’s love to others but be doers of God’s word in all good works.

As women, we need to live and walk in the unique purpose that our creator designed us for: To display inner beauty, become helpmates, nurturers, women of great faith, bearers, keepers of God’s great calling and doers of the word as part of the brides of Christ.

Testimonies Trusting God with Finances January 2022, Makindye, Kampala; Rose, a living testimony gives glory to God for her life. She faced many challenges including losing a job. Whatever she set her hand to do ended in failure. One day, she reflected upon her life, and realized that her problems escalated when she stopped tithing. A few days later, a friend gave her money for rent. She decided to take off a tenth of it and brought it to church as God’s portion. Rose then made it a point to tithe every increase that came through her hands. Windows of opportunity started to open up to her. In 2019, one of her friends who heard her story took her to the market and bought her three kilograms of groundnuts and told her to start with that. After three months, she decided to start a groundnuts business. The product sold out very quickly. The business showed growth potential and required more finances. In September the same year, she approached a friend with whom she shared her business prospects with. He blessed her with money towards her business. Her sales hit an upward trajectory.

However, in 2020, the business got affected drastically by the COVID-19 pandemic.

She approached one of the ministers who advised her to conduct market research about the business before re-embarking on it. She did so and returned the report to the minister, who in turn, prayed with her and gave her some money as added capital to her business. Since then, her business has tremendously grown. Rose now knows no lack because God is sufficiently providing for her. Praise the Lord!

Rose also thanks God for the life of her mother who, at the age of 76, does not use any medication and is healthy and strong. She also testifies that for 23 years now since she gave her life to Christ, she has been well without sickness.

The Lord Maintains My Lot January 2022, Nakawa, Kampala: Maria thanks God for healing her. For close to four years, she was on medication and had regular visits to the doctor. She got fed up of the situation and in a dream, she received instruction to pray and fast for 45 days. She says during the fast she resolved not to focus on the sickness but rather chose to thank God, pray for other people and petition God for her country. Two weeks into the fast, Maria noticed that she was well – her healing had fully manifested! Glory to God! Maria also thanks God for the favour that He has bestowed on her bag business.

She testifies that she is extremely busy with orders endlessly flowing in. She revealed that when she gives her tithe to God, she intentionally exceeds 10 percent. “I am seeing God grow my business. God is perfecting and excelling the works of my hands,” she says! She testifies that her business is an unfolding of a prophecy she received from Pastor Handel Leslie, and she is confident that what she is doing is indeed God-led.

Not Only a Hearer of the Word but a Doer Also January 2022, Makindye Ssabagabo, Wakiso: Diana put the word to work that she had learned from one of the cell meetings concerning an allergy she had struggled with for a long time. Whenever she ate pineapples or anything that had been in close contact with them, her body would react negatively. Diana took a step of faith after a home cell teaching on healing titled “God wants you well!” She was excited and was fully charged by the word of God which she had received. By faith, she bought, prepared and ate pineapples and her body did not react one bit. By simply applying the word of God, Diana was delivered from the allergy. To date, she is enjoying her pineapples. Glory to God!

Praise Reports from the Mission Field February, 2022: The February 2022 Mission Week saw members of the Entebbe home cell lead a soul into the kingdom of God. They also agreed to support a family that has a child with a disability by providing financial assistance for treatment and rehabilitation. In addition, three people that they reached out to agreed to visit and be part of their cell group meetings. Another family they ministered to received an answer from the Lord in form of the Hope Package that they delivered.

Plus, a new Christian’s faith was strengthened through the counsel and prayers they offered.

PS: A Hope Package is an assortment of essential items, groceries and inspirational ministry materials.

Youth Focus Living For GOD "When you don't live for God, you're just existing. Fulfilment in life is attained when you're living for the life giver. Living for God also entails walking in the path He has designed for you.

In Psalms 23:2, David said "He maketh me..." meaning he was guided by God. All that he stated in Psalm 23 is the importance of being led by God. When you waste your youthful age, you waste a very part of your life. This is the best time to live for God. The devil knows the significance of ‘burning’ for Christ at a youthful age so he continually attacks this set of believers. Whoever/whatever takes the greatest percentage of your time and your life becomes your god.

Your greatest knowledge in life should be about God. It's how much you know Him that determines how much secrets of life you're going to access, and this, in turn, determines how many doors will be open to you. God is the first and the last because when you find Him, your past and present is settled. You don't find purpose by finding yourself. You find it by finding your place in God. Minister W. Musoke
