The design has been developed from the original model, instead of cable ties and springs it is transformed using gears.
Using a beval gear it is able to drive the stalk up and out of the shell (vase). People can interact with the design through turning the handle which then turns the main gear in the middle, bringing the platform where the flower is attached up and out of the vase.
The flower resurecting from the vase represents the narcisuss myth. being pushed up on the platform it then opens up, the same process when being pulled back in. The sides of the flower hit the side of the vase and it guides it down into the vase.

The solar window, once collected sun throughout the day it raises at night, having mirrors on each side reflecting night light.
The rain harvester, once collected enough water, water is then pumped up and out of the arms creating a water feature.
The solar window moves in an up and down movement on a gear, once harvest enough solar and nightfalls the power turns the gear and raises the mirror system out of the box.
From pumping the water using the handle the water is sealed and pushed up the stalk of the sculpture.
A combination and mixing of iterations
Possible designs and mechanical functions from the flower design. The motion of each design changes and both reflecting the Narcisuss myth, through mirrors showing reflection or water representing tears.
Various style of vases that can be used for any of the three ierations.
Polycarbonate, wood and recycled steel all sustainable/reused which reduces the designs carbon footprint/ waste.
To reduce waste the design is moveable and not permantly attached to one spot. Using a manual outrigger the system can be placed in an environment and leveled depending on the ground it sits on. Once in need for removal the system can be jacked back up and moved with ease.
Once in place, people can use the design in many ways. It can be used as shelter or shade, it can be manualling chnaged depending on conditions, it is appealing and isn’t obstructive in view. Having more than one design creates a field of flowers and becomes appealing for the landscape.
