A big warm hello from the editor's desk! Readers, we love you all and welcome you to Zion Tabernacle Full Gospel Ministries' Newsletter, "Zion's Voice; Where the Word comes alive!"
This is our sixth edition and we know this will bring the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, into your seeking hearts.
In this edition we would invite you to reflect on God’s unconditional love; view some of our recent events; enjoy a relational comic; have further insights to our men’s and women’s ministries, as well as hear the testimonies of those who have experienced our God in mighty ways.
We take this time to acknowledge and thank all content creators, editors and publicists. Thank You and enjoy this edition!
Are you worn out and frustrated? Are you exasperated with life? Has life been unkind to you? Have the people in your life whom you look to for support failed you and disappointed you? Do they love you only when they want something from you or when you are nice to them?
There is someone who loves you unconditionally. That someone is Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God loved you so much that He gave up His only Son for you Jesus died for you so that you can experience fullness of life, which includes joy, peace and happiness.

God loves you on your good days, He loves you on your bad days. He loves you whether or not you think you deserve His love. There is nothing you can do that will make God stop loving you. He loves you regardless of what you do. When you do wrong, it pains Him and He hates the wrongdoing, but His love for you never changes. He will always love you. You can trust His love knowing that He only has your best interest at heart He will never fail you; He will never leave you or forsake you like human beings do.
God is not a tyrant with a big stick waiting to punish you when you mess up. On the contrary, He wants to have a relationship with you; to bless you; to protect you; He wants you to depend on Him, to rely on Him for all that you need He wants you to fulfil purpose in life
Perhaps you've found yourself grappling with life's trials and tribulations, attempting to solve your problems on your own, only to discover that your efforts have often fallen short. Despite your best intentions and efforts, you may have encountered obstacles and setbacks that left you feeling overwhelmed and disheartened
In such moments of frustration and despair, why not consider turning to God for guidance and support? He stands ready and waiting to extend His unconditional love and offer you solace in times of need. Embracing the presence of God in your life can bring about a profound transformation, offering you comfort, strength, and reassurance amidst life's uncertainties
So, as you journey through the ups and downs of life, don't hesitate to invite God into your heart His steadfast love knows no bounds, and He eagerly awaits the opportunity to walk alongside you, providing guidance, protection and unwavering support every step of the way.
These are some words of affirmation that can be repeated daily as you build your faith and come into the abundant life Jesus has promised.
There are some things to which one must say NO.
I no longer accept mediocrity in myself.
And when I see it in others, I spur them on to excellence.
I reject chaos and embrace peace and stability.
With Jesus at the center, my life in His hands, No worry or fear lives in my mind,
Because my faith muscle is being built up.
He strengthens me every day.
So, I embrace peace and the quiet reassurance that ALL IS WELL.
I choose to put down hurt and pain.
I know that they exist, but I don’t fix my gaze there.
With Jesus’ word alive in my heart, a balm applied to my soul, That balm smooths over rough places, glues back together fragmented pieces and positions me to WIN.
So, this year I overcome, I win, I succeed through the power of Christ at work in me and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
He makes my feet like hinds’ feet. I continually walk upon high places in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A time of women’s fellowship, ministry and a space for receiving from our Lord and giving comfort to each another.
Over the course of 2020 to present, insomnia was my Goliath. This takes a toll on your body, mind and even faith. My productivity was decreasing, anxiety was increasing and I was battling to keep my esteem, identity, and faith.
Over time, I began to experience excruciating headaches. I was diagnosed with chronic insomnia and was referred to have an MRI. The results came back with nothing detected. However, the headaches continued and I kept on praying.
I took an EEG; to test electrical activity in the brain. The results were nonconvulsive epilepsy, and I was put on a long-term course of medication that would be 2 years. I had seizures and did not know. In addition, a major percentage of my right lower quadrant of brain was affected and I was already experiencing short term memory loss. This Goliath was becoming bigger, and I desperately needed God to show up.
I was carded to retake the EEG and the results showed that the right lower quadrant was fully healed. Praise our Lord, Jesus Christ, our great physician! The neurologist watched me and was absolutely in awe while I said, “this is the power of corporate prayer at my church”.
I no longer have excruciating pain. I am in far better health. The Lord went before me and slew the giant and had me witness his mighty hand in battle. I am proud to say, Jesus in the Lord of my heart and my everlasting love. With tears in my eyes, as I write this testimony, I can confidently say, we serve a God of miracles.
The Joy of the Lord is our strength. His ways and timing are not ours and it is to specifically meet his will for his purpose that is far beyond us, always.

Zion Tabernacle Full Gospel Ministries promises the experience of a vibrant Men's Christian Ministry. Such ministry is geared to providing support, guidance, and community for men of Zion in their spiritual journey. It has been recognized that men are mainly brought up to be void of the expression of emotion, therefore as a men's ministry it is incumbent upon our leadership to rebrand the mindset of our men to mold them into mighty men of God. At Zion Tabernacle Full Gospel Ministries, the Men's Ministry takes the responsibility to aid all our men in their relationship with God through.
1. Spiritual Growth: Men's Christian ministries offer opportunities for men to deepen their faith through Bible studies, prayer groups, and spiritual retreats tailored to their unique needs and struggles
2. Accountability: The ministry provides a supportive environment where men can hold each other accountable in their walk with God, helping them to stay faithful and committed to their beliefs.
3. Fellowship: Men often face unique challenges and pressures in their daily lives. Our men's ministry offer a place for men to connect with like-minded individuals who share similar struggles and can offer encouragement and support.
4 Role Modeling: The Men's Ministry provides opportunities for older, more experienced men to mentor and disciple younger men, helping them navigate the challenges of life and grow into mature Christian men.
5. Addressing Masculine Identity: In a culture that often confuses or diminishes traditional masculinity, Zion Men's Ministry can help men understand and embrace their God-given roles and responsibilities as husbands, fathers and leaders.
6. Addressing Specific Issues: The ministry can also address specific issues that men commonly face, such as pornography addiction, anger management, fatherhood and career challenges, from a biblical perspective
Overall, Zion Men's Ministry is important because it provides a supportive and nurturing environment for men to grow in their faith, build strong relationships with other believers and become the men that God has called them to be.
Zion Women's Holistic Outreach Ministry (ZWHOM) meetings continue to take place on Thursdays weekly from 10:00am - 12:00noon.
Sis. Denise Wattie assumed the role as new head of the Ministry on March 3rd 2024. The process of growth and transformation is an on-going one as we continue to assist women to reach their full potential.
Our weekly nuggets delivered by our Pastor, Gillian Drakes-Prescod serve to inspire the women as they are geared to relate to everyday life
Prophecy, Healing and Deliverance all play an important role in the spiritual aspect of nurturing our women. There was one instance of complete healing from cancer, and multiple instances of deliverance from spiritual bondage.
The importance of knowing God's word, and respecting His temple (our bodies) are some of the lessons learnt.
Evangelism has started in the Marabella area and we continue to seek out our sisters who are hurting and in need of a sanctuary of support.
Life is about choices. Our Heavenly Father has given us a choice in Deuteronomy 30:19 I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses What is your choice? True life only begins when we invite Jesus into our lives. This is your opportunity if you have never done so. Say this prayer sincerely:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the dead I repent of of my sins. Wash me in Your blood, cleanse me from all unrighteousness and forgive me of my sins. I invite You to come into my heart and life to be my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for the gift of salvation which I now receive by faith. I pray this prayer in Your Holy Name. Amen
