Beforethisproject,ithadbeenalongtimesinceIparticipatedinagroup project,makingthisbothachallengeandalearningopportunity.I gainednewskills,includinghowtoregisterforIARandIDCP,by thoroughlyresearchingtheprocess,completingforms,andsubmitting requireddocuments.

Thisexperiencealsohighlightedtheimportanceoftaskdelegationand teamwork.Eachmember'sefficiencywascrucialtotheproject'ssuccess, andeffectivecommunicationensuredsmoothcollaboration.Overall,the projectimprovedmyresponsibility,teamworkskills,andabilitytohandle complextasksefficiently.

KNOWLEDGEEXCHANGEFORUM

Thistaskpromotesdemocraticexchangesthroughonline forums,enablingeverystudenttosharetheirvoiceand engageinprofessionalandacademicdiscussionswith peers.AspartofProfessionalDevelopmentWeek(PDW)in Week8,studentsmustattendatleast6seminars(TBC)and summarizetheirreflectionsoneachseminar,combining personalinsightsandselectedmaterials(text,images, screenshots).

CONCLUION:

Participatinginthisgroupassignmenttoresearchsoleproprietorshipshas beenanenrichingexperience.Throughcollaboration,Igaineda comprehensiveunderstandingofthestructure,benefits,andchallenges associatedwiththisbusinessmodel.

Ourteamdividedtaskseffectively,whichallowedustoexplorevarious aspectssuchaslegalrequirements,financialmanagement,andthe responsibilitiesofasoleproprietor.Icontributedbyanalyzingregistration processesandidentifyingkeyfactorsnecessaryforestablishingand managingasoleproprietorshipinMalaysia.Thisprocessnotonlydeepened myknowledgebutalsoimprovedmyresearchandorganizationalskills. Workinginateamhighlightedtheimportanceofclearcommunication,task delegation,andmutualsupport.Italsotaughtmethevalueofintegrating diverseperspectivestoachieveathoroughandbalancedunderstandingof thetopic.

Studentsarerequiredtoapplytheirknowledgegainedin Project1&DiscussionsfromProject2intotheirindividual thesisprojectsfromAIDP1.Eachregulatory,legislative,or technicalprovisionsmustbetranslatedintoaninformative graphicalpresentationwithdimensions,drawings, isometricdrawings,andmaterialswherenecessary. Studentswillbe.

Inanalyzingthe"IncenseMakingClub,"IreferredtotherelevantregulationsoftheUniform BuildingBy-Laws(UBBL)toensurethespacedesignandfunctionalitymeetbuildingcodes, particularlyregardingsafetyandpracticality.

First,accordingtoUBBLrequirementsforaccessibledesign(Sections34and35),theclub’s entrancesandexitsneedtobedesignedforeasyaccess,ensuringthatallmembersand visitorscanenterandexitsmoothly.Sinceincensemakingcanproducesmoke,Ialso consideredUBBLSection42regardingventilationandlighting,ensuringthespacehas properventilationand,ifnecessary,airpurifierstomaintainindoorairquality.

Regardingfiresafety,IfollowedUBBLSection166,settingupfirepreventionmeasures.Since incensemakinginvolvesopenflames,wepaidspecialattentiontotheplacementoffire extinguishersandthedesignofescaperoutes.Regularfiredrillsarealsoplannedtoensure safety.

Finally,basedonUBBLSection123onspaceandoccupancycapacity,weoptimizedthe layoutoftheclubtoensurethateachparticipanthassufficientspaceandthatemergency evacuationcanbedoneswiftly,meetingsafetystandards. Thisanalysismademerealizetheimportanceoffollowingregulations.Designingthe "IncenseMakingClub"accordingtoUBBLnotonlyensuresthesafetyofthespacebutalso providesmemberswithacomfortableandreliableplacetowork.

REFLECTION:

ThroughtheProfessionalPracticemodule,Igainedvaluableexperiencethatenhanced myoverallabilitiesasaninteriordesigner.Thislearningexperiencedeepenedmy understandingofhowtomanageandexecuteadesignproject,particularlyinareas suchasfinancialplanning,contractmanagement,andlegalcompliance.Studyingthe UniformBuildingBy-Law(UBBL)mademerealizethatdesignisnotjustaboutcreativity butalsoensuringsafety,suchasinstallingnecessaryfireprotectionequipmentand emergencyexitroutestoguaranteeusersafetyatalltimes.

Ilearnedhowtobalancefunctionality,userneeds,andbuildingcodes,avoidingrisks andoptimizingspaceefficiencyinmydesigns.Researchinginnovativematerialsand sustainabledesignpracticesbroadenedmyperspective,encouragingmetothinkabout howtoenhancebothaestheticsandpracticalitywhilebeingenvironmentally responsible.Additionally,groupprojectsmadememoreawareoftheimportanceof communication.Bydiscussingandcollaboratingwithothers,Iwasabletoeffectively solvedesignchallengesandgainmorecreativeinsightsfromdifferentviewpoints. Attendingindustryforumsandworkshopsfurtherenhancedmyunderstandingof markettrendsandthelatestdevelopmentsinthefield.Ialsolearnedhowtoestablish goodcommunicationwithclients,suppliers,andpartners,whichstrengthenedmy overallcompetitivenessintheprofessionalfield.Theseexperienceshavegivenmea morecomprehensiveunderstandingoftheinteriordesignindustryandincreasedmy confidenceinfacingindustrychallenges.
