YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Your YWCA inspires opportunity through free employment training, digital skill building, and intrinsic motivational programs for local residents. The comprehensive programs have a proven track record of successfully helping clients find well-paying and meaningful employment, specializing in adult learners and aging adults looking to reskill and/or upskill.
Our eight-week Entrepreneur Program is designed to help Marin women build the foundation needed for a successful business, including training on the basics of entrepreneurship, creation of business and marketing plans, website building, and other one-on-one support services.
The Marin Women’s Hall of Fame publicly honors the achievements of Marin women, preserves their stories, educates the public and inspires the continued achievements of women and girls. YWCA became the steward of the program in 2013, ensuring a legacy for future generations that documents not only successes, but also represents a diverse sisterhood of women supporting each other, standing together and moving the needle on progress for all women. To date, more than 160 women have been honored through the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame.
Bloom, a program of YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, provides two weeks of complimentary, quality clothing to men, women and children to help them move to a space of self-confidence and empowerment. Bloom serves low-income and underserved populations referred by supporting social services agencies at no cost.
Connect with our mission at our four annual signature events where we celebrate women’s achievements, recognize the impact and contribution of women leaders in Bay Area businesses, bring individuals, families, organizations and students together for an awareness and fundraising event, and host an influential guest speaker who is an advocate and ambassador for change.
Engage your employees in direct services activities through the year by hosting a donation drive that directly benefits the individuals and families we serve in the Bloom program or help to organize our children’s clothing boutique.
Your partnership will open one door to many solutions by investing in Your YWCA with critical funding that is only made possible with unrestricted funds from community partners. A portion of your partnership will directly support services that inspire opportunity and economic security, including:
• Microloans to support clients ready to launch their woman-owned small business
• Clothing to support children and youth’s self-esteem
• Job coaching sessions for women to get back into the workforce

YWCA San Francisco & Marin and YWCA Silicon Valley strategically combined in 2019 to form YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley. Our collective strengths and 143 combined years of experience serving communities has created a powerhouse for good across four Bay Area counties.
In 2022, Bloom Marin joined the YWCA family of programs. This joining of forces allows Your YWCA to strengthen and grow our impact in Marin County even more.
Bloom’s mission to provide complimentary wardrobes to children, women, and men who are transitioning to a life of self-reliance aligns with YWCA’s strategic priorities and mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
