Whatkeepsyoumotivatedandinspiredinthefaceofchallenges,especiallyinthiscurrent moment?
Manythingskeepmemotivatedandinspired.IjustparticipatedinanactivityonCliftonStrengths, leaningintomytop5strengthshelpskeepmemotivated.Therealdrivingforcebehindmy motivation,however,aremychildren.Ihopeonedaytheywillseemeasagoodrolemodel,and likemostparents,Idreamofabetterlifeandhappinessforthem.Whilethiscurrentmomenthas broughtmemuchanger,frustration,andsometimesdespair,Idon’thavetheoptiontoquit becauseIwouldbefailingmykids.
WhatsuccessesareyoumostproudofsincebecomingCPO?
ForSocialJustice,Iammostproudofhowourleadershipteamwasabletodiversifyourfunding sourcestosustainrevenuethatsupportstheimportantviolencepreventionworkthatwedo; especiallyintoday’sclimatewherefundingforDEIisbeingcutanderased.OurEconomic Opportunityprogramslaunchedan8-weekEntrepreneurshipProgramforwomen.Lastyear,we wereabletohostaPitchCompetitionwherethreeofourgraduateswonacombinedtotalof $18,500tojumpstarttheirbusinesses. TheotherinitiativethatIamproudofisourBloomPopUp vanthatwillserveSouthSantaClaraCounty.
