2025 Tribute to Women Award Honoree Overview

Congratulations on being selected as a 2025 Tribute to Women Award Honoree! This overview provides a timeline and deliverables requested from Tribute to Women Award Honorees. YWCA staff are available to answer any questions you may have, and will support you in all of the below activities to prepare for this memorable celebration.

Feel free to drop into a 2025 Tribute to Women Office Hours Zoom held every Monday from 12p –12:30p between February 24th and April 22nd

Complete the Program Preparation survey that includes:

- Confirming your full name, as you would like it printed, including post-nominals if applicable, your title, and company name

- Scheduling your professional filming session for your Honoree video the week of March 24th or March 31st in Fremont, CA

- Submit a professional headshot

RSVP for yourself and up to 3 guests for the Tribute to Women Networking Happy Hour

Join YWCA, our sponsors, previous Tribute to Women Honorees and this year’s Tribute to Women Award winners for a Happy Hour Networking event on WEDNESDAY MARCH 26th 2025 from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the San Jose Museum of Art

Headshots for the program will be taken at the event

☐ Register yourself and 9 guests to sit at your table for Tribute to Women Awards

You will receive a personalized link that will allow you to fill in registration information (name, email, meal preference) for yourself and each of the nine guests seated at your table. Please identify yourself or an assistant to serve as your POC to complete the registrations for your 10 seats, including yourself.

Honoree Filming

One of the most unique features of the YWCA Tribute to Women Awards Program is that a video highlighting each Honoree is played during the event in lieu of a speech. The video is a snapshot of each Honoree focused on her personal and professional achievements as well as her words of encouragement to other women. Here’s a look at past videos for reference.

Note: Following the event, the video will be made available to Honorees via YouTube. YWCA is unable to edit the video for individual requests.

Prepare for your filming Filming sessions are scheduled for about 30 minutes with our partner production company, Mac House.

 Professional filming will occur at the Mac House Productions studio, 43150 Osgood Road, Fremont, CA.

 Honorees are asked to select their filming preference HERE by Feb 28th 2025.

Helpful tips and important information:

 A list of questions will be sent along with a calendar invite for your selected date/time on within 3 business days of you selecting your filming date.

 Honorees may want to practice their responses to fit within 1 to 2 minutes each.

Come to the filming ‘camera ready’:

 Avoid patterns and stripes

 Professional filming will take place against either an orange or white backdrop

 Avoid high-contrast clothing like a bright white shirt and bright red pants

 Avoid drab earth tones as they have a tendency to blend into the background

 Wear comfortable clothing

 Choose simple jewelry to avoid dangling sounds and visual distraction

Honoree Profile Submission

Honoree profiles will be included in the event program. Each Honoree will receive a printed copy of the program and all other guests will be sent a digital version. Honorees are asked to submit their bio HERE by March 31, 2025.

Each profile will include:

☐ Honoree name (including postnominals), title, company – please be sure these are current and accurately entered on the Program Preparation survey by Feb 28th

☐ Nominator’s name, title, company please be sure these are current and accurately entered on the Program Preparation survey by Feb 28th

☐ Headshot submission – If you aren’t able to attend the Networking Happy Hour on March 6th and get a headshot taken at that event, please submit a professional headshot or preferred original photo (not edited) at 300dpi. Photos will be cropped to an approximate size of 3”x3”. Photos should include just the Honoree - please upload this on the Program Preparation survey by Feb 28th

☐ Short Bio – a high level overview of your career and professional achievements within 80 words or less submitted here by March 31st
