TRADITION — According to recent Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, Pulse Evolution Corporation, the Port St. Lucie digital arts studio chaired by ousted Digital Domain CEO John Textor, is receiving a $20 million investment from Swiss entertainment company Holotrack AG.
Delivered in the form of $20 million shares of the company’s common stock, sold at $1 each, the investment, according to the filing, is earmarked “to develop, finance and distribute, “The King,” a full-length theatrical production featuring Virtual Elvis Presley.” Pulse Evolution Corporation has made a name for itself by revolutionizing the once sci-fi technology of holographic imaging. In 2012, it was technology de-
signed by Pulse artists, at that time working under the Digital Domain shingle that brought famed rapper Tupac Shakur to life at the 2012 Coachella concert. In 2014, Pulse Evolution Corporation brought Michael Jackson back to life at the Billboard Music Awards and now, if all goes right, the company will add Elvis Presley to their repertoire of resurrected superstars.
