Congratulations Class of 2019! On to the next chapter in life to experience a wonderful journey of living, learning and taking on new responsibilities. As a tribute to the hard work and effort required to reach the high school graduation milestone, each student is named in a list along with their fellow graduates from Calhoun, Kennedy, Mepham and the Meadowbrook Alternative Program. Take a moment to meet the valedictorians and salutatorians and don’t forget to check out photos from graduation day. John DeTommaso, Superintendent of Schools at the Bellmore-Merrick CHSD offers parting words of encouragement for the graduating students. The Bellmore-Merrick Cultural Arts Foundation celebrates students at the 40th Anniversary Luncheon. Students were selected to showcase their musical, theatrical and visually artistic talents. During senior recognition night many seniors were honored for their efforts, achievements and citizenship. The school administrators match qualities of deserving students to the spirit that each generous scholarship donor represents. Look inside to find out who the Bellmore and Merrick chamber scholarship recipients are this year and which students the Kiwanis Club of Merrick honored at the Club’s 52nd Student Recognition Night.
