visiting sites of historical and literary significance, including those relating to the French and Indian War, the Erie Canal, Mark Twain’s home, and a dozen other locations. “You can sit in a classroom and talk about something until the cows come home,” said Tim McNeese., “but there is nothing like getting out there and seeing the places where history was made and where people lived it.” Education faculty members Erin Dehart and Chris Luther led 22 students on a Holocaust studies trip. Participants’ hearts were broken and minds were opened as they met Holocaust survivors and visited museums and monuments in New York City and Washington D.C.
